Back in 2019, we reported how the hills in Toontown were removed to prepare for the arrival of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Well, every day we’re getting closer and closer to the opening of the attraction because today, the hills are alive and have returned to Toontown.
These new hills are currently being installed on top of the show building of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
It’s nice to see them back once again behind cartoon metropolis.
Here are a few closer shots.
Construction also continues on The El CapiTOON Theater, which will be the entrance façade to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
The red steel pictured here was recently installed all over the structure, enclosing the corrugated metal roof and other elements.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is set to open at Disneyland in early 2023.
