While the interior of Connections Café and Eatery is mostly blocked from view, we can see how far work has come on the exterior of the new EPCOT restaurant. Crews have been working on the roof of the old Innoventions building.
Scaffolding covers one section of the exterior facing the World Discovery neighborhood.
Crew members were working on the corner of the building, which is being reconstructed.
It is now covered in vertical steel pieces, and DensGlass sheathing lines the edge of the roof.
More sheathing may be installed before new paneling.
We could see crew members working on the other side of the front window too.
The roof overhang and columns have yet to be repainted to match the rest of the building.
In the breezeway, we didn’t see many changes since our last update.
Windows were installed in this area of the breezeway, but the ceiling has yet to be repainted.
The hanging wires are for future lights.
The Communicore-inspired skylight tubes inside were completed a few weeks ago.
Some exposed wall elements remain, waiting to be enclosed.
The windows still have blue painter’s tape on them as construction continues.
