If you’ve never visited Disneyland Resort, you’re missing out on some AMAZING food.

Today is the beginning of the Lunar New Year festival in Disney California Adventure, and we also visited another spot to try this fun mix of hot chocolate and…ice cream! Does it work? Find out what we thought!

We stopped by Schmoozies! in Disney California Adventure, where you can typically find smoothies, tea, and specialty coffee drinks, as well as seasonal lemonades and shakes. Now that the weather is a bit cooler, we had to try the new Hot Chocolate Float for $6.49!

The Hot Chocolate Float is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, which is vanilla ice cream topped with hot chocolate, aka you get a large scoop of vanilla ice cream in a cup of hot chocolate.

The hot chocolate was actually REALLY hot when we got our drink, so it melted the ice cream quickly. It basically turned into a creamier hot chocolate and it was delicious!

If your hot chocolate is served as hot as ours was, you probably won’t be able to eat the ice cream before most of it melts. But the flavors work so well together and we loved it!

If you’re a hot chocolate fan (and especially a creamy hot chocolate fan), you’d love this. The ice cream doesn’t overly cool the drink either so you still get that cozy, warm feeling, which is perfect for those cooler winter days when you’re still craving ice cream.
