Here at Disney Food Blog we’re about ALL things Disney, but we’re especially all about the Disney FOOD (it is in our name after all!).
We’ve tried it all — from space foods at EPCOT’s Space 220 to all kinds of Mickey waffles. And the beautiful thing about Disney World is that there’s almost always some new food to try! Today we’re bringing you all of our thoughts about a NEW sweet treat we found at Disney Springs!
We recently stopped by Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs to try their newest milkshake — Carver’s Peanut Butter Explosion!
This new delight is made with peanut butter gelato and chocolate sauce…
…and it has a layer of whipped cream with crushed peanuts on top. Oh, and in case you DIDN’T notice, there’s also a WHOLE chocolate peanut butter cake on top!
The milkshake was very peanut buttery, but it was the cake that topped it all off (literally). The chocolate peanut butter cake was REALLY good! If you love chocolate and peanut butter, this is probably going to be your JAM.

This dessert would be great to share among a couple of people. You might need another set of hands because we found it to be a bit hard to maneuver by ourselves. It can be a bit unwieldy and sort-of unstable with the chocolate cake on top. Definitely a potential drop hazard!
You’ll probably want to sit down somewhere to cautiously disassemble this treat for easier eating.
Overall, we really enjoyed this limited edition sweet treat. It’s pretty pricey at $19.96. It is essentially 2 treats in 1, but it’s still expensive, especially in comparison to other Disney ice cream treats.
It is more expensive though than the specialty shakes like the Mickey Confetti Shake or the Chocolate Brownie Shake over at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop (both of those are $15 each). These sort of follow that 2-desserts-in-1 theme but are a little less expensive.
You could also get an entire Fudge Mud Slide ($12)…
…or (one of our faves) the No Way Jose ($11) both at Beaches & Cream for CHEAPER than this new snack.
If you’re in Disney Springs and willing to spend the cash for this treat, it can be a good one for chocolate and peanut butter lovers, but it’s not cheap. If you’re looking for a slightly better value, then a spot like Beaches & Cream might be one to check out for some DELICIOUS ice cream creations.
