With the beginning of Totally Minnie Mouse at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea also comes new souvenir dessert items themed to the new special event. And of course, since we’re suckers for these souvenir desserts, we stopped in to give them all a try.
There were three special items on offer, bundled with two treats.
Mixed Berry Cake with Souvenir Plate – ¥850 ($7.47)
We started off with the small square of mixed berry cake, topped off with the white chocolate Minnie bow we’ve become all too familiar with over the past couple of years. The cake is rather unremarkable, almost flavorless, despite being the mixed berry flavor they claimed. Beware also the icing on top of the cake which stains fingers (or worse, clothes).
The plate isn’t all that remarkable either, but still a cute heart shape that matches the event aesthetic. If you want the design then it’s worth the purchase, otherwise don’t bother.
Raspberry Mousse & Strawberry Jelly with Souvenir Cup – ¥850 ($7.47)
The mousse and jelly come in a rather simple white and polka dot cup that captures Minnie Mouse almost perfectly. The front side features Minnie in the heart design, while the back features the event’s logo.
The jelly/mousse combo itself also features that familiar white chocolate Minnie bow, which tops off a very strawberry-flavored dessert. Despite being advertised as a strawberry-raspberry blend, all we could taste is a sweet, overwhelming berry flavor. While the cup is certainly nice, the dessert may make you think twice.
You can find these at Sweetheart Cafe, Plaza Pavilion Restaurant, Hungry Bear Restaurant, Grandma Sara’s Kitchen, Tomorrowland Terrace, Pan Galactic Pizza Port, and Plazma Ray’s Diner at Tokyo Disneyland, and at Cafe Portofino, Zambini Brothers Ristorante, Mamma Biscotti’s Bakery, New York Deli, Yucatan Base Camp Grill, Casbah Food Court, and Vulcania Restaurant at Tokyo DisneySea.
Souvenir Lunch Case – +¥1100 ($9.66)
For an extra ¥1100 on top of sets at select quick-service restaurants, you can also pick up this Totally Minnie Mouse lunch case, which features the six outfits Minnie will greet guests in during the various greetings at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea through March 30.
The side and back feature the polka dot and heart patterns, with the back also featuring Minnie in her standard look with the event logo.
You can add the lunch case to your set at Sweetheart Cafe, Refreshment Corner, Captain Hook’s Galley, and Tomorrowland Terrace at Tokyo Disneyland, and Mamma Biscotti’s Bakery, New York Deli, and Sebastian’s Calypso Kitchen at Tokyo DisneySea.
All of these souvenir items are available through March 30 or while supplies last, so be sure to keep an eye out on your next visit to Tokyo Disney Resort! Are you excited to bring these new items home? Let us know in the comments below.
