A new 50th anniversary specialty item has debuted at Golden Oak Outpost in the Magic Kingdom. Replacing the Widow Maker Sandwich is the Slue Foot Sue, which like its predecessor, is named after a character from “Pecos Bill.” Sue, Bill’s wife, was a cowgirl who rode a catfish.
The sandwich is served with regular french fries.
Slue Foot Sue Sandwich – $12.99
Fried fish sandwich with cilantro-lime slaw
This is honestly not a bad fish sandwich. It has a healthy amount of fish on a fresh, buttered bun.
The bun fell apart easily when we took a bite. Toasting the bread a bit might have helped with that.
The slaw was a little heavy on the cilantro and the sandwich could benefit from a bit more sauce.
The fish was cooked well, though. Overall, this is a decent option.
