On our latest visit to Disneyland Park, we found ourselves at Tomorrowland Terrace, where we decided to try the new Pistachio Cherry Chocolate Parfait, which bears a suspiciously similar likeness to one of our favorite Mandalorian bounty hunters.
Pistachio Cherry Chocolate Parfait – $6.99
Layers of Pistachio Mousse, Red Velvet Cake, Tart Cherries, and Chocolate Flavor-Filled Boba
This is a very, very sweet dessert. The cherry comes through in the “canned cherries in syrup” layer that runs through the center, but the pistachio mousse just tastes like sugar.
The red velvet cake and chocolate cake are buried under the cherry syrup and therefore it just tastes like sweet cherries all the way through.
It’s more than enough for two to share, despite its small size. The chocolate-flavored boba pearls on top are surprisingly pleasant and would be good on their own if not buried within the mountain of sweet that this dessert is.
Although the menu doesn’t explicitly note a correlation between this treat and Boba Fett himself, the copious amount of “Star Wars” food and souvenir items sold at Tomorrowland Terrace along with the color scheme lead us to believe this treat is tied in to the new “The Book of Boba Fett” series on Disney+.
Overall, this dessert is just fine but not among the best in the park by a long shot.
But if this sounds like your sort of thing, you can give this a try over at Tomorrowland Terrace in Disneyland Park! And let us know below in the comments what you think of this new treat.
