Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese – $5.25
This was basically a homemade grilled cheese with white and yellow cheddar cheese on white bread. It comes with tomato soup in a cute can themed to the Food Studio. The soup isn’t too tomato-y or watery. It’s more like a bisque, with a thick layer of cream on top to cut through the acidity of the tomatoes. You can probably skip this unless you really want the souvenir plastic can.
*NEW* Tomato Soup with Bacon, Apple and Brie Grilled Cheese – $6.25
As always, Pop Eats! is serving up soup in the themed plastic can, featuring new art this year. The soup is very creamy with a robust tomato flavor, made more decadent by the creamy topping. The sandwich is the perfect combo of crunchy bread, melted cheese, crispy bacon, and crunchy apple slices. Highly recommended.
Almond Frangipane Cake layered with Raspberry Jam and Belgian Chocolate – $4.50
This dessert is brilliant in its simplicity. The chocolate icing, exquisitely moist cake, and raspberry jam mix for one of the best festival treats we have ever had. We know it probably sounds dumb to enjoy a fairly regular cake item at an event with rarer dining delicacies, but it was just made so perfectly. Plus, it’ll look great on your Instagram hashtag ArtfulEpcot.
Pop’t Art: Modern-Designed Sugar Cookie with Chocolate-Hazelnut Filling – $4.50
The Pop’t Art has gone back to the original chocolate-hazelnut filling it had back at the inaugural festival in 2017. It looks like a Pop-Tart, but it’s a sugar cookie… we’re sure kids will like this, but this dessert just confuses us. It wasn’t bad, but we’re just not sure why it exists. It even has a filling like a Pop-Tart (chocolate hazelnut flavored), but again, it has the flavor of a sugar cookie filled with icing.
*NEW* Figment Premium Popcorn Bucket with Rainbow Popcorn – $25.00
The Figment popcorn bucket is the star of the show this year, with long lines stretching across the park. We expect he will continue to be the must-have item of the festival, so if you can’t miss out, plan ahead for a lengthy wait. The popcorn itself is the standard colored caramel corn; it’s an overly sweet and photogenic version of the classic.
*NEW* Brooklyn Brewery Pulp Art Hazy IPA, Brooklyn, NY (6.5% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.
From Brooklyn Brewery: “Just as the Pop Art movement created big, bold art for everyone to enjoy, our Pulp Art is a hazy IPA for all. This modern masterpiece is a delicious blur between beer and art, with billboard-sized notes of bright tropical fruit and a refreshingly soft finish. Pulp Art brings juicy refreshment for everyone, from haze aficionados to those just discovering the lush world of tropical hops.” The beer also has flavors of “pineapple juice, ripe mango & bright citrus pulp from Citra, Strata & Simcoe hops.”
Tomato Soup Can Bloody Mary – $14.00
This fun and beautifully presented drink was fantastic. Bloody Marys are hard to review because they are extremely subjective. Some people might think it’s extra spicy and not mild enough, or too mild. That being said, our group of taste testers all agreed this is a delicious Bloody Mary. You won’t get big flashy garnishes on this, but it’s tasty and well presented in a great Pop Eats!-themed clear can. It’s a good beverage and a neat souvenir all in one.
