The Main Street Confectionery (which was renovated recently) in Magic Kingdom is home to many unique treats!
We’ve tried some Skittles Fudge, Brownie Pies, Snickers Cupcakes, and more from this spot! You can also get custom popcorn creations here and even a drool-worthy peanut butter pie. Today we made our way to the Confectionery to try another one of their cool creations but this time it’s in slushy form!
Over at the Main Street Confectionery you’ll now find a Goofy’s Glaciers area called the “Glacier Kitchen.”
This is where you’ll be able to pick up a few different Goofy’s Glaciers — a.k.a. slushies in a variety of different flavors.
You can get Goofy’s Glaciers at a number of other spots in Disney World, including Goofy’s Candy Company in Disney Springs and Big Top Treats in Magic Kingdom, but what makes the Confectionery unique is the special Glacier creations they offer here like the Cold-Coction, the Cold-leidoscope, and the Orange Brrr’d! These have been available since the Confectionery reopened after its refurbishment.
Today we decided to give The Orange Brrr’d a try! This drink is made with Fanta Orange, Vanilla Syrup, Hi-C Lime, Whipped Cream, and Gummie Worms.
It’s priced at $5.99, but if you want to save on this item be sure to ask about using your Annual Passholder discount (if you’re an Annual Passholder)! Our Annual Passholder discount worked here since it is a merchandise location, and we were actually able to get $1.20 OFF this drink!
The drink is colorful and definitely invokes the orange and green color scheme of our little orange friend. You can definitely get some fun, colorful photos of it with the Castle or maybe even with the Orange Bird mural over in Adventureland.
But how does this drink taste? Well, it actually wasn’t bad! The vanilla syrup was pumped on the top of our drink after the slushy part was already in there. So if you take a sip without mixing the drink you’ll probably just taste a lot of that vanilla syrup and whipped cream at first. Our recommendation? Stir it up (after you’ve taken your cool photos) so you can get that vanilla flavor to mix in better.
The drink is sweet (SHOCKER ) but was pretty good! The whipped cream on top was a nice touch, and the gummy bears were fun (adding a nice little texture and flavor change).
We had our drink on a COOOOOOLD day in Florida (okay, “cold” for Florida, but you know what we mean) so that was maybe not the best day for it. But if you are looking for a sweet drink to grab on a hot Florida day, this cold be a fun pick! Especially since the Citrus Swirl (Orange Bird’s signature snack) has gone missing lately, it’s nice to be able to grab an Orange Bird-themed snack in the parks. If you don’t like really sweet drinks, then you might want to stay clear of this one.
Remember to ask about that Annual Passholder discount at this spot (and other merchandise locations where you might be picking up a snack or two). We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more Disney news and we’ll let you know what we find!
