The Universal Orlando Resort has been adding a lot of new plant-based options to menus around the parks and resorts, including a brand new Right Side Up Shake from the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium in CityWalk. The shakes here are always beautiful to look at, and this is no exception. This new vegan shake looks impressive right from the start.
Right Side Up Shake – $16
The shake is plant-based and has a very rich pineapple and brown sugar flavor. The brown sugar and caramel pair perfectly with the pineapple to create a very sweet shake base. Oatmilk whipped topping, a slice of pineapple, and a piece of pineapple upside down cake sit perfectly atop the edge of the souvenir cup.
This shake has got to be one of, if not the best, shake we have had from the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. If you’re a fan of pineapple or Dole Whip, this shake is a must-try. The brown sugar sweetness takes this to another level.
When we picked up our shake from the counter, the Team Member told us she loves the cake on top. We have to agree with her! If we could just order this cake, we’d gladly take another slice of this vegan pineapple upside down cake. It’s extremely dense and thick, like pound cake.
The only thing about this shake we didn’t care for was the oat milk whipped topping. The texture was a little off for me, personally, and the oat milk flavor was overpowering. Even though we didn’t care for the topping, it’s a good alternative for those who eat plant-based. We would order this shake again anytime, but maybe we’d ask to substitute the whipped topping.
We suggest planning a trip to Toothsome Chocolate Emporium for this Right Side Up Shake whether you eat vegan or not. It’s delicious!
