The 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts has officially begun!
We’re making our way through all of the food booths, checking out the merchandise, and seeing what other fantastic things this Festival has to offer! While you might be very aware of the special entertainment, awesome photo ops, and other fun activities at the Festival, right now we want to highlight one particularly underrated thing that you definitely WON’T want to miss this year!
This year, Figment’s Brush with the Masters is BACK at the Festival of the Arts. If you aren’t familiar with this activity, it’s basically a fun scavenger hunt for kiddos and adults to participate in around World Showcase. This is a returning activity we’ve seen at the Festival of the Arts in the past. It’s similar in many ways to the Olaf and Ratatouille versions done during the Festival of the Holidays and International Food & Wine Festival, respectively.
For Figment’s Brush with the Masters, your goal is to “help Figment learn about art.” To get started, you’ll head to Port of Entry, Creations Shop, or World Traveler to buy your map. Each map costs $9.99 plus tax.
Once you’ve got your map, it’s time to go hunting! You’ll search for Figment, who you’ll find hiding inside of famous works of art throughout World Showcase. Tip: took for the Figment-themed picture frame to find him!
Once you find each Figment, you’ll place the corresponding sticker in the appropriate pavilion on your map. When you’ve completed your map you can bring it to Disney Traders or World Traveler for a PRIZE! And the prizes this year are pretty epic.
This year, guests get the chance to pick 1 paint your own Disney figurine as the prize for the Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt.
The figurines we saw available today included Mickey and Minnie…
…as well as Figment(!!!) and Daisy. Seriously folks, you could PAINT YOUR OWN TINY FIGMENT. We think these prizes are pretty awesome and might make the scavenger hunt totally worth it for Disney fans out there. A fun activity to complete during your day + another fun activity to take home = win/win!
Note that this scavenger hunt and its prizes are only available while supplies last, so that’s something you’ll want to keep in mind. We anticipate that the Figment prize in particular could be very popular and could go quickly. We saw a weird situation with the Olaf Scavenger Hunt prizes during the Festival of the Holidays, so it’s just good to keep in mind that prizes may change or be more limited, particularly if there are any supply issues. So if you want to grab these prizes, you might want to go quickly.
We won’t reveal ALL of the Figment secrets here, but here’s a peek at just one of the pieces of art that is part of this scavenger hunt. We found this one over in the Canada pavilion. You can see the Figment head on the frame (be sure to look for that as you search for these!) and an image of Figment in the artwork.
If you’re looking for a fun activity to do as you explore the countries through the Festival of the Arts (and you want a SUPER cool prize) this could be a great thing to look into! We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more news about the Festival of the Arts and we’ll share those updates with you.
