Tsunami advisories have been issued along the west coast of California, including Los Angeles and Orange counties. The tsunami advisory comes in the wake of an underwater volcanic eruption in Tonga, a Polynesian archipelago in the Pacific Ocean.
Disneyland Resort is located in Orange County, while Universal Studios Hollywood is in Los Angeles County. Neither park is expected to be directly affected by tsunami waves as they are off the coast and have not issued statements regarding the advisory. Visitors to both locations should be aware that the surrounding areas may experience inclement weather.
The National Weather Service shared the above infographic. The current alert level advises avoiding the shore and water at the coasts. Surges have already been reported off the coast of Los Angeles.
