We’re back in EPCOT for another exciting week!
Last week, the Festival of the Arts kicked off in this park, with new food, new merchandise, and one VERY popular popcorn bucket. But the excitement didn’t stop there — we’re covering all the new things that arrived in EPCOT this week as well!
EPCOT Construction Updates
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Over at EPCOT’s most highly-anticipated upcoming attraction, we noticed some construction progress this week! Painting has continued on the outside of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind show building — it’s really starting to come together.
We also got a glimpse of the construction progress from the monorail as we entered the park. Things are moving along quickly in the courtyard of the building, and we can’t wait to see what the finished project looks like!
This omnicoaster is set to open in the summer, and we’re sure it’s going to be a HUGE event for the park!
Old Mouse Gear
In the former Mouse Gear location, we’ve seen some pretty big transformations as well. The outside of the building continues to get deconstructed and built back up.
We’ll keep an eye on this project to see what the progress looks like — we’re definitely intrigued to see what becomes of this space.

EPCOT Attraction Updates
Festival of the Arts Touches
The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts kicked off around the park last week, and we’re seeing the artsy, colorful style incorporated in many places around EPCOT. First up, we noticed that Pluto was wearing a special collar for the occasion when we met him at the entrance area of the park!
And over in Germany, the miniature train village is prepped for the festival yet again! This tiny town often has itty bitty festival banners to match the ones that hang around World Showcase, and they’re ready to go for the Festival of the Arts.
We love the way that the park puts so much detail into these festivals!

EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Creations Shop
And finally, it’s time to talk merchandise. At the park’s newest store, the Creations Shop, we found a few new items in the past couple of days. First, there are new youth dresses that your little ones will love! They’re $26.99 each and there’s a shiny Minnie Mouse design…
…as well as one with a few classic princesses — Belle, Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White. How cute!
The next day, we found new Hercules and Megara couple shirts for sale — released just in time for Valentine’s Day (if you’re into the matchy-couple thing). They’re $24.99 a piece, and they say “the muse” and “the muscle” with pictures of their respective characters.
Recently, we celebrated Winnie the Pooh day, and it looks like Disney isn’t quite ready for the party to stop! We spotted these adorable Pooh-themed storage bins in EPCOT that would be perfect for keeping your home organized. They’re $39.99 each.
Also, there’s a beautiful new blue and white Mickey Mouse home collection with multiple different items. There’s a napkin holder set for $9.99…
…placemats for $12.99…
…and throw pillows for $34.99 each! You can use this theme for your whole house!
There was plenty to see in this store this week, so make sure to check it out on your next visit.
Gateway Gifts
Over at Gateway Gifts, we spotted a Walt Disney World tee that we hadn’t noticed before. It’s a bold blue shirt with Mickey Mouse and the WDW logo down the front.
You can pick this one up for $36.99, it’s a classic shirt choice, so you can’t go wrong!
Souvenirs de France
The gift shop in the France Pavilion had a brand-new Mickey and Minnie Mouse magnet for $9.99. They’re an adorable couple, riding through the French scenery on a bike together.
Magnets are a great choice of souvenir if you’re looking for something that doesn’t take up space in your suitcase or in your home!
Il Bel Cristallo
In the Italy Pavilion, we spotted this lovely new Mickey Mouse straw hat that’ll keep you both in style and shielded from that hot Florida sun. That red and blue ribbon will add a nice pop of color to your outfit, and it’s not overly Disney-looking.
If you’re interested in some new headwear, this hat is $24.99.
Northwest Mercantile
And finally, let’s head over to Canada, where their gift shop got a new collection of “Welcome to Our Cabin” merchandise. This rustic-themed series features plaid patterns with bears, and you can get a variety of items to fit the theme. First up is the classic door/wall hanging sign for $16.99.
There’s also a “Cabin Rules” sign with notes like “Go fishing, take a nap” and “No alarm clocks allowed” for $24.99. We don’t know about you, but we could get used to rules like that!
And the “Welcome to Our Neck of the Woods” sign looks just like something we’d spot hanging in a log cabin in the mountains. It’s also $24.99.
Love buffalo plaid? Then you should also pick up the stone coasters for $19.99. The set comes with 4 coasters with different cabin-themed phrases.
And you aren’t limited to using this line inside your house — they’ve also got an absorbent stone car coaster! It should fit in your car’s cupholders and it’s $9.99.
And finally, a home collection isn’t complete without a floor mat. This one would look great in the kitchen for $39.99.
That’s everything new we spotted in EPCOT this week, but stay tuned for more news and updates as it comes! We’ve got you covered with the latest from Walt Disney World.
