EPCOT
- Signs have popped up next to five of the Disney Fab 50 character statues at EPCOT. Next to Figment, Pua and Hei Hei, Olaf and Bruni, Miguel and Dante, and Rocket and Groot, you can now scan a QR code that will bring you to a series of videos all about the making of these golden statues for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance failed to open with the park this morning. Eventually it was back up and running.
- As work continues inside the Toy Story Mania gift shop in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the two entrance doors have been covered by brown scrim.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Aladar, the dinosaur on display in the main fountain in front of DINOSAUR, was looking splotchy but he has now been painted with a grey primer.
Disney Springs
- Gideon’s Bakehouse posted on their Instagram the other day that a specialty item of theirs will now be a permanent staple on their menu — the Rainbow Crunch Cake.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Due to the inability to reach agreements by the deadline, Disney was forced to fire all entertainment Cast Members for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at one point, then rehire them, and train them all over again.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed tomorrow, February 7 and Tuesday, February 8, due to cold weather.
Disneyland Resort
- Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill has us prepared with these love-themed specialty cocktails.
- Scrim has been removed from around Tarzan’s Treehouse at Disneyland, which has been closed and under refurbishment since September of last year.

Tokyo Disney Resort
- With the Toy Story Hotel set to open at Tokyo Disney Resort on April 5, the Oriental Land Company has also revealed some of the new merchandise specifically themed to the hotel!
New Merchandise
- We spotted a couple of new Spaceship Earth inspired clothing pieces at Creations Shop in EPCOT today.
- A new mystery pin box has soared into Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it is themed to the Festival of the Sky, Disney’s KiteTails.
- A couple of new Tomorrowland-themed tops have just landed at Walt Disney World.
- We spotted a couple of new pin sets at Pin Traders at EPCOT today. They feature characters from “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Muppets.”
- We spotted a couple of new limited edition pin sets in a galaxy far, far away. We saw these “Star Wars” sets at 20th Century Music Company at Disneyland Park.
- New “The Book of Boba Fett” and 2022 baseball caps have arrived at Disneyland.
Entertainment and Media
- The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History is seeking photos taken at Disneyland or Walt Disney World that reflect personal guest experiences.
