The media embargo has been lifted for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, and we’re getting our first look at the experience from the eyes of guests. One of the most impressive elements of the experience is the walk-around Ouannii character, a fully articulated Rodian (the same species as Greedo from “A New Hope”).
Above is a video of Ouannii shared by Twitter user Skytalkers.
Walt Disney Imagineers developed multiple walk-around droids and aliens for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that ultimately weren’t used for the land in an effort to save money. Instead, only human characters, like Rey and Kylo Ren, and Chewbacca appear in the land.
Ouannii shows some of the impressive technology guests wanted to see at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, finally brought to life for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser guests.
Stay tuned for more Ouannii — and all the other new characters debuting on the Halcyon — when we bring you full, detailed coverage from the first public cruise beginning March 1.
