Magic Kingdom
- Another canopy piece was installed at TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom.
EPCOT
- Though the 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival does not start until March 2, gardens and topiaries are already being prepared. Today we spotted the classic “Peter Pan” topiaries outside the U.K. Pavilion.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance failed to open this morning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- With the return of the breakfast buffet to Cape May Cafe after almost two years also came the return of the dinner seafood buffet. Read all about our review here.
- Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser guests with special dietary or allergy-friendly requests will need to visit the Crown of Corellia Dining Room between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the first day of their voyage for a consultation.
- Beginning March 3, Disney Vacation Club Members can add on to their membership at the enhanced and expanded Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
- Guests with upcoming voyages on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser can already see details of their itinerary. As boarding time nears, they’ve added a few more activities!
- We stopped by Disney’s Yacht Club Resort today to check out the current refurbishment project, which will continue until spring 2022.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Face masks are now optional for fully vaccinated guests at most indoor locations throughout Walt Disney World. This policy update also extends to fully vaccinated Cast Members.
Disneyland Resort
- As announced last year, Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park will be closing for a reimagining this year. We now know it will close at the end of the day on March 8, 2022.
- Disney has also now announced that some of the attractions in Toontown will also be reimagined. These include Gadget’s Go Coaster, Goofy’s House, and Donald’s Boat.
- Just like at Walt Disney World, the policy at Disneyland Resort has changed starting today to allow fully vaccinated guests to go maskless indoors.
- While out and about at Disneyland Resort this week, we tried the Hot Chocolate Float from Schmoozies! At Disney California Adventure.
- A new non-alcoholic beverage is now available at Pym Tasting Lab in Disney California Adventure. Read our review for the Popping Particle Punch here.
- With a new year comes new merchandise. And the 2022 Minnie ear headband has arrived at World of Disney at Disneyland.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- As we near the halfway point in Tokyo DisneySea’s 20th Anniversary “Time to Shine!” celebration, a slew of new food souvenirs is coming on March 31 featuring past anniversary costumes and even references to S.E.A., the Society of Explorers and Adventurers!
Disney Cruise Line
- Disney Cruise Line has announced an “Inside Out” sweet shop, “Olaf’s Royal Picnic,” a new entertainment hub, and more coming to the Disney Wish launching this summer.
- Disney also shared more about the desserts that will be available in the “Inside Out” sweet shop called Joyful Sweets.
New Merchandise
- A new “Mickey and Friends” collection by Stoney Clover Lane will be available at Walt Disney World this Friday, February 18, 2022.
- A new Mickey balloon sipper is now available at Walt Disney World to go with all your Mickey balloon popcorn buckets.
- We now have a preview of the second series of the Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction merchandise collection, inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean.
- Today, we spotted these adorable new “Alice in Wonderland” Minnie ear headbands at EPCOT!
- On a recent trip to Magic Kingdom, we saw these new, green Minnie Mouse ears at the Emporium. They’re out just in time for St. Patrick’s Day and perfect for spring.

Entertainment and Media
- In an interview with The Wrap, Lin-Manuel Miranda shared his vision for an “Encanto” attraction at a Disney Park.
- During the “Making of Eternals” episode of “Marvel Studios: Assembled” on Disney+, Kevin Feige referred to “Avengers: Endgame” as the final Avengers film.
Disney+
- Marvel has tapped directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead for season two of “Loki” on Disney+.
- American composer, John Williams, has returned to the “Star Wars” universe by creating the theme for the new series, “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” debuting on Disney+ on May 25.
