Sometimes it feels like California gets ALL the cool stuff! Remember when Disney California Adventure hosted the Oogie Boogie Bash for Halloween and unveiled all those amazing new characters? Or what about the classic debate on which park has the better version of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction: Disneyland or Disney World? (the correct answer is Disneyland, by the way
) For those that are tired of letting Disneyland take all the credit for the coolest new offerings, you’re in luck!
Salt & Straw in Downtown Disney
There’s a super fun little ice cream restaurant in Downtown Disney called Salt & Straw. We’ve tried some crazy ice cream flavors here, but now we can try even MORE ice cream because Salt & Straw is coming to Disney Springs! Now, we’ve got an exciting update on the status of Salt & Straw that signals the opening date is coming soon!
Back in January of this year, we learned that Salt & Straw is set to open in March of 2022! Now, it looks like this little ice cream shop is making a step in the right direction; we found some job listings posted on Indeed.com!

According to Indeed, Salt & Straw is looking for Ice Cream Scoopers at the new Disney Springs location in Disney World!

We also spotted a Shift Lead position open on Indeed! Keep in mind that these job listings could change (or be filled) at any point — who wouldn’t want to work in an ice cream shop, after all?!

When this new location officially opens, it will be the first Salt & Straw location in the Central Florida area! Like we said earlier, we’ve been enjoying the crazy ice cream flavors (we’re talking MUSHROOM and THANKSGIVING TURKEY) at Downtown Disney in the Disneyland Resort for a while, but we’re excited to see it come to Disney World!
They have classic flavors, too!
