Magic Kingdom
- Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire finally made its grand debut in front of Cinderella Castle as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration, and we have full photos and videos!
EPCOT
- Queue signs were installed today outside Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
- Signage for Magnolia Terrace was installed today ahead of the 2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
- Our February 20 photo report highlights the installation of interactive Fab 50 features, the return of Anna & Elsa, and much more!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- The former Out of the Wild gift shop has been transformed into seating.
- Grey kangaroos have returned to the park today along with a new joey!
- Jewelry-making has also returned to Windtraders Shop in Pandora.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser
- Good Morning America took a sneak preview aboard the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser this morning as the media embargo lifted.
- We now have a full list of characters guests will encounter aboard their Halcyon voyage as well.
- Disney released a smattering of pictures showing off characters and locales within the Starcruiser this morning as well.
- The D3-O9 droid aboard the Starcruiser is also acting as a sort of test for new artificial intelligence capabilities.
- One criticism we have already, however, is that Rey’s swap from the “real” lightsaber to the prop used for her duel with Kylo Ren is a bit sloppy.
- We were quite impressed with the articulated Rodian character guests can encounter aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
- And there’s really quite a bit of advanced, cutting-edge technology supporting the story.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Operating hours have been extended at all four Walt Disney World theme parks during March 2022.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Tokyo Disney Resort today celebrated a milestone 800 millionth guest visiting their parks since 1983!
- The resort will also release a new film canister popcorn bucket themed to “Toy Story” on March 31.
Disneyland Paris
- The long-awaited refurbishment of Disney Village is set to begin this year.
- Eurostar direct service between London and Disneyland Paris will finally return to service on March 25.
- Disneyland Paris gave a sneak peek into the manufacturing process for their 30th Anniversary Cast Member name tags.
New Merchandise
- Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort can pick up a massive puppet theatre and add-on set of Mickey & Friends finger puppets.
- Also available at the Disneyland Resort is a new 2022 dated snowglobe.
- Lounging can be even more comfortable and green now with a special “The Princess and the Frog” loungewear set we found at Disneyland Park.
Entertainment & Media
Movies
- The long-rumored new “Haunted Mansion” film will be released in spring 2023, according to Deadline.
Music
- A new single penned by Billie Eilish and Finneas debuted today ahead of the March 11 debut of “Turning Red” on Disney+.
Publishing
- A new comic book adaptation of the first season of “The Mandalorian” will be published starting in June.
