We bring you a lot of stories every single day. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up. So in case you missed anything from our feed, we have rounded up all our stories in one place to get the news at a glance. Here is your Daily Recap for Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
After announcing this year’s EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival merchandise collections, Disney has posted a sneak peek of some of the Orange Bird merchandise.
Hey there, hi there, ho there! We headed down to the Disneyland Resort to see everything that is going on while the weather remains warm and pleasant, and we want you to come along. Join us as we hit both parks in a grand circle tour.
Disney California Adventure
We began our day in DCA, and with the warm, sunny temperatures in Southern California right now, we could use some sunglasses. Luckily, Disneyland Resort has Magic Key Holders covered with these complimentary sunglasses for Magic Key Holder Celebration Month. At first, they were giving out white glasses with red logos, as seen above. Then when the stock ran low, they began giving out red glasses with white logos, as seen below.
Over in Hollywood Pictures Backlot, some refurbishments are going on. The Disney Theater and Gone Hollywood are both covered with construction walls protecting the front of the buildings.
Both the theater and shop are still open while their façades are being worked on.
Further down the block, the La Brea Carpets building is now uncovered after being behind construction walls, likely for the same treatment as the two buildings up the street.
In the Marvel area of Hollywood Pictures Backlot, the Backlot Premiere Shop is closed until February 18 for routine maintenance. But we noticed that the nearby Loki photo op, and all of the Disney+ Marvel show photo ops, have been removed.
Studio Store has a limited selection of Marvel merchandise, including this new Hawkeye bow and some apparel celebrating the show on Disney+. You can read all about them right here.
In Elias & Co. on Buena Vista Street, we found tons of new merchandise. This Big Hero 6 apparel line is just what the doctor ordered. Or rather, just what the health care companion bot ordered. Take a closer look at all of the pieces right here.
And to celebrate the year that you visited Disneyland, take a look at the newest releases from the 2022 collection. You can see it all right here.
We also found some cool keychains celebrating park icons, characters, and more. See them all right here.
This Mickey Mouse raglan t-shirt features the main Mouse prominently in a sketchbook design. Read all about it right here.
Celebrate the hardest-working princess of all with this new Princess Tiana dress we found in Elias & Co. Get a closer look right here.
Speaking of Tiana, she is the newest addition to the Disney Designer doll collection. We spotted her at Big Top Toys, and you can read all the details right here.
Around the edge of Paradise Bay, we stopped to check on Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, where the windows have been uncovered for the first time since the pandemic closures.
Cast Members were inside cleaning and stocking, hopefully preparing for an imminent reopening.
Despite the COVID-19 numbers dropping and masks not being required outside any longer, the 1 p.m. park hopping limitation is still in place — much to the chagrin of nearly every park guest in this line.
The China Closet is now under scrim as its upper-level exterior is under refurbishment. The shop entrance is open while work is being done.
These four new phone cases are part of the releases for Magic Key Holder Celebration Month, and they are now available as pictured at Star Trader in Tomorrowland, or able to be personalized through MaDe kiosks in both parks. You can read all about it right here.
Up in Toontown, construction is flying along. The rolling hills of the new Toontown skyline are taking shape as they move across the top of the massive building that will house Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
The spire of the entrance to the El CapiTOON Theater will welcome guests to the attraction.
In Mickey’s neighborhood, the raised hills are complete across this stretch of the building, and the frontispiece is being covered in the white primer as well.
The rolling hills are also beginning to stretch out from the right side of the building.
Downtown Disney
At The Dress Shop, we ran across a large assortment of apparel designed for EPCOT. These limoncello ears from the Italy pavilion are super cute, and you can read all about them right here.
Well, that’s it from us here at Disneyland. We’re glad you rode along. Be sure to leave a comment below, letting us know what you think of the photo report. We’ll see ya real soon!
