We have been buzzing around like worker bees getting ready for the 2022 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival!

It’s almost here!

You can expect the return of the Garden Rocks Concert Series, a Graze around the Gardens, and of course — all the tasty treats you could ever want! Oh, and how could we forget all the amazing merchandise you’ll be able to take home?! And, Disney just announced there will be FIVE collections joining this year’s festival merch lineup — let’s check them out!

There’s no doubt to be a cornucopia of garden-themed items for sale at the Flower and Garden Festival, and we can’t wait to dig in. There’s probably something for everyone in these collections, from drinkware to clothing! Disney gave us a sneak peek of what we can expect. First up is the Orange Bird Collection!

We love the wine tumbler, and is that a new Dooney & Bourke purse we see?!

And of course, it wouldn’t be the Flower and Garden Festival without an Orange Bird Sipper!

Next up is the Mickey Mouse Home Garden Collection! It promises to be a “vibrant assortment of apparel, drinkware, yard tools and other coordinating accessories”. We’ll finally be able to garden in style!

Our good pal Spike the Bee is back for this year’s fest, and he brought some sweet merch along with him. The Spike the Bee Collection features a mug and a pin, plus “a variety of sweet new pieces” according to Disney.

Festival Figment is here too and is sharing his love of purple in the Figment Garden Collection. This collection can’t be BEET and will feature a whole new line of items celebrating spring.

And last, but certainly not least is the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Collection. These two are dressed in their gardening best in this lineup, with whimsical new artwork featured on the items. We can’t wait!

We are so excited to check out these new collections and the rest of the incredible offerings coming to this year’s EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival! It kicks off March 2nd and runs through July 4th, 2022 — and we’ll be covering it all, so be sure to stay tuned!

Salt & Straw at Disney Springs, which is expected to open next month, is now hiring ice cream scoopers and a shift lead. Both job postings are available on Indeed. You can read the job descriptions below.

Ice Cream Scooper – Disney Springs $14 + $8 avg tips per hour

• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations by following and enforcing ServSafe regulations
• Supports the successful completion and implementation of all safety related policies and procedures
• Attends monthly safety meetings to report on shop level safety concerns
• Performs all Team Member job duties including scooping and other tasks to ensure great customer service
• Report Human Resources or Customer incidents to General Manager and Assistant General Manager

The above points should not be considered an all-inclusive description of the job or job duties. Team Members in all positions may be asked to perform other duties when needed, during times of co-workers’ absence, or to balance workload(s), retail process, and/or retail volume changes.

Position Requirements:

To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.

Despite the recent health and safety changes in Disney World, the global pandemic continues to take a toll on the tourism industry. Internationally, some of Disney’s other parks are still closed, like Hong Kong Disneyland.

While Hong Kong Disneyland was expected to reopen on February 23rd, 2022, we’ve got an important update to share.

Disney updated its notice on the Hong Kong Disneyland website. The new message reads, “as required by the government and health authorities and in line with prevention efforts taking place across Hong Kong,” Hong Kong Disneyland Park will remain closed through April 20th, 2022.

In changing the date, Disney has extended the closure of Hong Kong Disneyland by nearly two months. The notice further specifies that Hong Kong Disneyland resort hotels will remain open with an adjusted level of service. There will also be adjustments in services at the resort’s restaurants and recreation facilities.

For guests with unused park tickets with an expiration date that falls within the park’s closure, Disney will extend the expiration date. Free cancelations are also available at this time, and guests with Magic Access Memberships will receive an extension as well.

Keep in mind that this information is subject to change, as Disney is making adjustments based on government requirements.

At the start of the pandemic in 2020, then again in 2021, the park shut down multiple times due to COVID-19. In 2020, the park closed at the beginning of the year, then reopened in June, then closed again in July, reopened in September, and re-closed in December. Then, in 2021, the park reopened (again) in February, then finally, it closed in November 2021 due to suspected COVID-19 cases.

Disney stated that they will share more information when the park reopens, and we’ll be sure to pass along any updates, too. In the meantime, stay tuned for more Disney news and park updates!
