Lately, there have been CROWDS everywhere we go in Disney World — even Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Thanks to the President’s Day holiday, TONS of people were in the parks and resorts, which created some extra-long lines.
Jambo!
Despite the crowds, we braved Disney’s Animal Kingdom to check out what was new. Let’s take a look!
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Island Mercantile
The colorful Encanto Minnie ears are restocked! If you missed them back in November, now’s your chance to grab a pair and sing ” we don’t talk about Bruno .” Will it ever get old? No, no, no, no!
The ‘Encanto’ ears are back in stock!
We’d like to formally request a pair of floral Isabela ears and cute yellow Dolores ears as well. Sorry, Bruno, but we already have a pair of rat-inspired Minnie ears.
These beautiful sequined green Minnie ears debuted in Animal Kingdom, and we’re LOVING them!
Does anyone else have a HUGE collection of sequin Minnie ears?
A person can never have too many sequin Minnie ears. You can pick these up for $29.99.
Riverside Depot
Some people hate fake plants, but for those of us that can’t keep a plant alive, fake plants are much easier. This new (fake) succulent plant is $24.99. It could pass as real, right?
Good luck killing this plant!
There’s also this new little cutie, which says, “be happy” on the ceramic vase. With that plant on our desk, we’ll never be sad again!
We’re loving this new home collection!
We found two limited-release MagicBands back in stock at Riverside Depot. There’s a mystical Dr. Strange MagicBand…
There’s still time to grab these!
…and a cute Valentine’s Day MagicBand!
It’s SUPER pink!
You can grab it for $34.99. But hurry! There are only 1,460 in existence, and it’s out of stock online!
Animal Kingdom Additional Updates
Expedition Everest
Expedition Everest isn’t the only thing that was closed during our visit to Animal Kingdom! The Expedition Everest viewing area was closed due to a small snake in the area.
What’s up with the cones?
Maybe he just wanted to join the other animals chillin’ in Disney World! If you look closely, you can see list little head peeking up above the rocks.
Do you see his little head?
Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes!
Rafiki’s Planet Watch
The Out of the Wild store at Rafiki’s Planet Watch is gone, and a small seating area with vending machines was set up instead.
It’s…open!
You can also buy a souvenir I.D. tag or a pressed penny! Just make sure you have the correct change if you want to make a pressed penny.
Do you collect pressed pennies?
That’s it for this week! There wasn’t much going on at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, other than the HUGE crowds of people at almost every turn. Be sure to stay tuned as we share all the latest Disney news and park updates!
