The exterior portion of TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom is being covered with its new canopy, marking some major progress for the delayed attraction.
From the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, we could see a new strip of canopy being installed on the Tomorrowland Speedway side.
Crew members were in a cherry-picker to work on the canopy.
We noticed that orange cones had been attached to the edge of the canopy framework.
The first sign that canopy installation had begun was the smaller strips placed periodically over the top of the framework.
The cones were stuck on the vertebrae pieces that line the framework. More white paneling has been installed on the edges as well.
The side closest to the PeopleMover track has been completely covered in white canopy.
Grey scrim hangs in front of the entrance to the show building.
Scaffolding has finally been removed from beneath the coaster’s high-up entrance into the building.
On the ground a new free-standing wall has appeared.
The wall is not far from the walkway leading under the coaster.
Crew members were working near the wall but not directly on it.
Crates sit on the walkway.
The structure on the other side of the site will likely be for lockers.
It is mostly enclosed now, but paneling has yet to be installed on this side.
There is no announced opening date for TRON Lightcycle / Run.
