We hate to say it, but we’ve got to be honest. Disney World is not super magical 100% of the time.
One of the things that can take away from the Disney magic is when there are big crowds in the parks. These crowds often mean longer lines at attractions, more people at restaurants, and just a bit more waiting in general. There are some things you can do to cope with the crowds, but mostly you’ve just got to get those patient pants on and make the best of it! We had that experience this morning on our way into Magic Kingdom.
Our reporters are in the parks every day, and we noticed today on our way into Magic Kingdom that there was more traffic than usual at the entrance to parking.
Walking from the lot to security at the Transportation and Ticket Center (the TTC is where you park if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom), we were joined by a BIG crowd of people.
The line for security was longer than we’ve seen in a hot minute, and there was even an announcement that people at the end of the lines could expect an hour-long wait before they get to Magic Kingdom.
We made it onto a Monorail to Magic Kingdom about 40 minutes later…
…and we waited at the park entrance for another 20 minutes.
The whole process (from our car to getting inside Magic Kingdom) took about an hour, which is almost double the time it normally takes us to get from parking, through the TTC security, and into the park!
We’re not sure exactly what’s going on with the Magic Kingdom crowds today. There aren’t any scheduled special events, and usually Mondays aren’t quite so busy. But maybe today this is just the place to be!
