PHOTOS & VIDEOS: The Crowds in Disney World Right Now Are Something You Have to See to Believe

Crowds have been weirdly high in Disney World this January and February — a time that is normally known as the “slow” season — and it doesn’t look like things are going to calm down any time soon!

Yikes

We saw a ton of people in the parks in late January and pretty consistently throughout February so far. There was even a day where it took us twice as long just to get inside Magic Kingdom. The wait times have also remained high for this time of year. And, since Presidents Day Weekend is kicking off today, there are a TON of people in the parks.

Long weekends are usually more crowded than normal weekends in Disney World, but this weekend might be even busier than normal due to a major athletic tournament taking place on property. ESPN Wide World of Sports is hosting the Disney Presidents Day Soccer Tournament, so all of the teams and their families are in town and will likely be visiting the parks at some point.

So, what does it look like in the parks? Well, we’ll show you, but we’re warning you now…it’s not pretty, folks!

Magic Kingdom

Starting in Magic Kingdom, we were met with the crowds before we could even get close to the park. We spent a while waiting in line just to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Then, we walked with a bunch of people to the TTC.

Oh my

Once there, we saw the line for the Ferryboat.

Wow!

Yep, it’s suuuuper long!

We got to the entrance of Magic Kingdom and were surprised that it didn’t look too crowded.

Maybe it won’t be so bad…

But, then we walked down Main Street, U.S.A. — which is PACKED.

Oh, nevermind. It’s bad.

Over in Tomorrowland, there was a big line for Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. LAUGH FLOOR, you guys! This attraction is not known for having long wait times usually. It was still only posted at a 30 minute wait, but that’s not normal for Laugh Floor.

WHAT?!

The lines for the other Tomorrowland attractions were just as bad. Space Mountain’s line was backed waaaay out into the walkways…

Is it worth it??

…and so was PeopleMover’s.

People love the PeopleMover

Over in Fantasyland, it was just as crowded.

Crowds crowds crowds

We noticed the Guest Services line over here was pretty long. This is a great time to remind everyone to be nice to Cast Members, especially on super busy days like today!

Over in Liberty Square, the crowds continued!

AHHH!

And, while there was a sea of people…

…we did hit weird pockets like this throughout the park that were mostly empty.

Wait, where did everyone go?

Now, let’s move on to Hollywood Studios.

Hollywood Studios

We got to Hollywood Studios and the crowds to get into the park were WILD.

Mom, can you come pick us up? We’re scared!

This was half an hour after the park opened, y’all!

There were people everywhere!

Eeeek

If you don’t like being around too many other humans, this is your nightmare.

Shout out to this guy still living his best life though!

We love his positive attitude

Once inside, Hollywood Boulevard was just as busy.

We turned down Sunset Boulevard to check out the crowds.

Okay, not so bad

And, no shocker here, it was busy.

The line for Tower of Terror was way down the boulevard…

Would you wait this long for TOT?

…and so was the line for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!

Get ready to ROCK ‘N’ ROLL…in about 90 minutes

Time to turn around and check out how busy other areas of the park are.

Back into the crowds we go

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular canceled their 12PM show today, which is not good news for crowds, because that show can seat about 2,000 people, but instead, they’re out in the park.

Oh no!

We decided to head back to Galaxy’s Edge…

More people

…where we saw that Rise of the Resistance was closed temporarily. This is another ride that can keep a lot of people in line! NOTE: As of 1:30PM, Rise is back open.

Rise is closed

The stores were also pretty busy back here!

Not the most calm environment to shop in

Okay, let’s go check out EPCOT!

EPCOT

Walking into the park didn’t seem too bad.

Okay, we’re cautiously optimistic!

The entrance did seem a little crowded though, but definitely not as bad at over at Hollywood Studios!

This is more manageable

It didn’t look like it was that busy over near Test Track, but then we saw the line, which was pretty long. As of 1:30PM, it was at an 85 minute wait.

This is when you should hop in that Single Rider Lane if it’s open!

Over in The Land pavilion, it was actually pretty chill!

We’ll be hanging out here if you need us

We walked over to see what the line was like at Journey Into Imagination with Figment…

Many others are also going to Figment, apparently

…and it was long, too. The ride was at a 30 minute wait as of 1:30PM, which is high for Journey into Imagination.

People gotta see that little purple dragon!

In front of the Mexico pavilion is was very crowded. But, this area is known for being a bottleneck, meaning it packs people in closer, making it look busier.

Whoa!

The Germany pavilion was definitely busy, but it didn’t look as bad as the areas we saw in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

We can handle this!

And, the same goes for the Italy pavilion!

Not terrible!

We’ll be updating this post throughout the day with more crowd updates and pictures, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
