Disney World’s Deluxe Resorts are the fanciest (and usually the most expensive) hotels on property. We recently took you on a tour of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, which is located very close to Magic Kingdom.
Now we’re heading to the EPCOT area to tour another Deluxe hotel over there. There’s actually a pair of fancy hotels right next to each other, and Disney calls them “sister hotels.” Today, we’re taking a look at the “fun” sister in this pair, although you’ll probably agree with us that it still looks like a very upscale experience. These rooms aren’t quite as pricey as the Grand Floridian, but they’re not far off. But you can head inside with us now for FREE to take a look at these rooms!
Did you guess where we’re going? The pair of pricey hotels near EPCOT that we’re talking about is Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts. Disney has said that Yacht Club is the more “formal” sister of the pair, so the “fun” one has to be Beach Club Resort!
The Beach Club Resort is where we’re heading for today’s room tour. This is a Deluxe Resort with standard rooms averaging just over $600 a night. There are also club-level rooms, suites, and DVC villas at this hotel.
The hotel’s theme is inspired by New England-style architecture.
The lobby features high ceilings and elegant furniture.
The nearby front desks are colorful with a similar style as the rest of the resort.
Let’s check out the amenities available at this resort.
Amenities
Beach Club shares a lot of amenities with the Yacht Club, which is located nearby. This includes a full-sized spa, a mini-golf course inspired by Disney’s Fantasia, and three leisure pools.
In addition to the pools, you’ll also find Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, which is more like a small water park than a pool.
Stormalong Bay has 3 acres of water activities, including a big sand-bottomed pool, a life-sized shipwreck replica, a 230-foot-long waterslide, a lazy river, and a few whirlpool spas.
Beach Club Resort also has a 24-hour gym called the Ship Shape Health Club with exercise equipment like treadmills, weights…
…and more. This health club also has some salon services like massages.
After hitting the gym, you don’t even have to feel guilty about heading to one of the delicious restaurants at this hotel!
Dining
Besides all the fun activities, Beach Club also has a wide variety of restaurants and dining options. You can grab quick snacks at the Beach Club Marketplace, which is a counter-service market inside the gift shop.
Beaches & Cream is another counter-service option that was made famous by the ginormous Kitchen Sink Sundae. They also have over-the-top milkshakes, burgers, and other diner-style food. You can head inside or visit the to-go window outside this restaurant.
Cape May Café is a sit-down spot with all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner. Normally this spot is a buffet with characters, but currently, the food is being served family-style and the characters are not back yet.
The buffet will return to both breakfast and dinner on February 15th, 2022.
Hurricane Hanna’s Grill is a poolside quick-service spot with snacks and a full bar. Kids’ meals here are given in sand pails as a souvenir!
And Martha’s Vineyard is a lounge that’s inspired by a New England beach house.
You can also check out all of the restaurants at the nearby Yacht Club Resort to see more options that are just a short walk away from the Beach Club hotel.
Room Tour
Now let’s head inside the room itself! We got a normal room with a standard view. There’s a short hallway right inside the entrance with a morning bar area, a closet, and the bathroom on either side.
The door has a lock under the handle and another latch lock above it.
There’s also a “room occupied” door hanger for you to use while you’re inside the room.
This entrance is pretty narrow, but it opens up quickly into the main room.
The coffee bar has space to make your morning brew…
…along with everything you’ll need to do that! There’s a Keurig Coffee Maker and a few options for different coffee flavors.
You’ll also find sugars and cream, as well as an ice bucket and some individually wrapped cups (for both hot and cold drinks).
Above the bar, there’s an adorable picture of Mickey and Minnie flying kites together on the beach!
This area has a drawer for storage…
…and a mini-fridge underneath.
That’ll come in handy when you’re bringing home leftovers from a great day of eating in the parks!
Next to this morning bar, there’s a fairly spacious closet that has sliding doors.
Inside, you’ll find a stand for your luggage…
…hangers and a wall-safe for your valuables…
…an iron…
…and a full-sized ironing board.
There are also some extra pillows and blankets if you need them!
Across from the closet is the bathroom, which has a large sink and vanity area and a separate room for the toilet and shower.
There isn’t a door for the vanity area, but there is one for the toilet and shower room. The vanity has two sinks and plenty of counter space for your essentials.
On top, there are some H2O toiletries, including soap, lotion, and mouthwash.
There’s also a box of tissues here…
…as well as a few washcloths.
Over the sinks, there’s a large mirror on the wall…
…and another that you can pull out to see your face more closely.
Under the sink, you’ll find a hairdryer…
…and some extra towels.
There’s a small trash can in this area too.
You’ll find hand towels hanging on the wall beside the vanity.
The water closet has a toilet with some extra toilet paper on top…
…and a shower/tub combo. Four towels are hanging up in this room, and don’t forget the extras that we found under the sinks.
Can you spot the little hidden Mickeys on the shower curtain??
Inside the shower, there are more H2O toiletries, like shampoo and conditioner.
The door for this area has a long mirror on the back (the vanity side) so you can check out your best park outfits before you leave for the day.
Once you pass the bathroom, the room opens up into the main area.
There are two beds along one wall with turquoise headboards and lamps on each side.
And look! There was a little Mickey surprise waiting for us on one of the beds!
Along one wall, there’s some beach-inspired art…
…and a thermostat so you can control the temperature in your room.
There’s a nightstand between the beds with a phone on top.
The nightstand has a couple of drawers for storage as well.
The lamps mounted on the wall beside the beds have a wall switch located next to the beds as well so you can turn these on or off as needed.
The headboard is a soft turquoise-y blue, and the bedding is all white.
These beds also have barriers under them, so you won’t have to worry about losing items under your bed! (We’ve all been there.) Sadly, this also means that you can’t store your luggage under the bed.
The spaces between the beds and the walls are fairly narrow, but not unusual for a standard hotel room.
Across from the beds, there’s a bench, an entertainment stand, and a desk area.
The bench is great for hanging out or holding another suitcase if you need more storage room!
It also has a compartment underneath for a bit of extra storage.
The entertainment stand has a TV mounted above it.
On top, there are a few outlets (including a couple of USB outlets)…
…and a map of the enhanced cleaning measures. Our remote was also wrapped in plastic to show that it had been cleaned between guests.
The dresser has several drawers and shelves for all your storage needs. So if you like to fully unpack during your Disney World trips (it makes it feel more like home for a few days!) you’ll have plenty of space to do that here.
Beside the dresser, there’s a desk with a lamp and more outlets.
It also has a large mirror above the desk.
You can use this space to get a little bit of work done during your vacation or to get ready in the morning while someone else is using the bathroom!
There’s another, smaller desk on wheels underneath the main one as well for some extra room to spread out.
The space isn’t huge, but we found that there was plenty of room for us to store our things and move around.
Along the back wall, there are a couple of large windows and a door leading out onto a small balcony.
There are sheer curtains if you want to let just a little light in…
…or thicker curtains for more privacy.
The door opens inward…
…and there’s a little balcony area outside!
We didn’t opt for the garden or pool view room, so we mostly were looking out on other parts of the hotel.
But in the distance, we could spot Stormalong Bay and some other EPCOT area hotels!
Back inside, we’re ready for a nap before hitting the parks once again to try out all the latest tasty treats.
