Protective Sheathing Added to Ship Stand of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind as Painting Continues at EPCOT

Blue protective sheathing has been added to the ship stand outside the newest ride coming to EPCOT. Following the complete installation of the Xandarian starship outside Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, crew members have been adding details to the ship and its stand. Let’s take a look at how the exterior of the attraction is coming along.

Repainting of the sidewalls and columns is complete.

Yesterday, we saw new signs installed next to the entrance to the attraction.

The ship’s stand now is now completely surrounded by themed paneling and has some blue sheathing on it.

On the building, a crew member was working on the last bit of overhang yet to be covered in paneling.

At the entrance, we can see podium structures.

There is a strip of blue sheathing on the left side of the ship stand and on the front, both taped on.

We can also see where some lighter paintwork was done in the past few days, in a stripe around the front of the stand and dots on the right side of the stand. The sheathing is likely in place to prevent paint from getting on other areas.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set to open on Memorial Day weekend.
