Disneyland and churros go together like peanut butter and jelly — you can’t have one without the other. We love trying new treats in Disneyland; whether it’s a new take on an old favorite or a crazy new idea, we’ll eat it ALL! But did you know that you can get one of Disneyland’s iconic snacks outside the parks?

It’s true! We visited Downtown Disney to try a churro that sounded VERY promising! Will it live up to the hype? We hope so!

Downtown Disney’s California Churro Co. has an Oreo Churro for $7.99 that we simply had to try! We love Oreos, we love churros, what could go wrong?

Turns out a LOT could go wrong! Upon our first bite, the churro tasted overwhelmingly dense. Considering it was an Oreo-flavored dessert, we were expecting a stronger chocolate flavor; it was kind of a let-down! Our churro was messy and sort of bland, and we probably wouldn’t order it again. Keep in mind we may have ended up with a bad batch, so don’t lose all hope on the ol’ Oreo churro.

The cream cheese frosting tasted good, so if you love frosting of the cream cheese variety, that might save this treat for you! Otherwise, we recommend sticking to the classic Disney churros in the parks. In the meantime, stay tuned for more Disney news and reviews!
