If you’ve been reading Disney Food Blog for a while, you probably know that we love Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Nomad Lounge
This lounge spot is perfect for a quick bite or a nice refreshing drink when you want a break from the crowds! On a recent trip to Animal Kingdom, we stopped by Nomad Lounge for lunch and found a returning special we hadn’t seen in a while, so we decided to try it out!
We were seated at the bar and reviewed the daily specials, but our bartender informed us that they also had Lobster Mac and Cheese as a special today! You may not see it on the menu, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask to see if it’s available.

We had seen this mac on the menu back in October 2020, but we wanted to see how it compared to the more recent special! It’s made with chunks of lobster, shell noodles, and a homemade cheese sauce.

We thought this dish was super flavorful! There were definitely pieces of lobster, but the overall flavor was more of a non-specified shellfish than lobster flavor.

The homemade cheese sauce is rich and creamy, but it didn’t have much of a cheese pull. We love that stretchy cheese ya know?! The cheese itself wasn’t bland like many mac and cheese dishes are! Instead, it was savory and seasoned well!
Nice and cheesy
At $24, it’s definitely on the pricier side, but we thought the portion was large enough that it could be split between two people! If you’re a shellfish fan, we’d definitely recommend it — but mac and cheese purists should probably skip!
Lobster Mac and Cheese
