Have you ever wanted to eat EVERY snack Disney World releases for a special occasion?
Well, that is EXACTLY what we’re doing (again), and maybe we’ll be in a sugar coma by the end of the week, but we do this for science (okay, we do it because we also love food). Now that we have a guide to all of the Valentine’s Day treats at Disney World, we’re trying EVERYTHING, including a cake that could double as a marriage proposal!
We can’t imagine anyone saying no to this proposal either — because it’s an Engagement Ring Cake, which is a Chocolate cake filled with raspberry sauce on top of a shortbread cookie. But, what makes this snack stand out is that it has a White Chocolate Engagement Ring on top. WE SAY ‘YES!!!!’
Style point for this one!

Well, this baby is certainly Instagram-worthy. However, we’re not really going to say “yes” to this proposal until we taste it. First, we have to note that this cake is completely plant-based.
The cake is moist, but the chocolate flavor isn’t very chocolatey, if that’s even possible. It tastes like chocolate, but not like the rich, decadent chocolate you would expect to find in a dessert like this.
There is a lot of raspberry filling inside, which is decent, but nothing to write home about. It’s super sweet! It doesn’t taste artificial though, which is good.
Overall, the taste of this treat is good, but not GREAT (and, we like our desserts to be great!). Also note that this thing is VERY messy — it will get all over your hands, so we’d recommend a spoon or fork.
We do love the bling that comes with this thing, though!
This is a fun treat for Valentine’s Day, but we would probably skip it next time just because there are other desserts that are better in Hollywood Studios, like that Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie at Fairfax Fare and the Backlot Express for the 50th anniversary.
If you want to taste this proposal for yourself (or are looking for a unique way to actually propose at Disney World), you can grab this special treat at ABC Commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for $5.49. We’re trying a ton of the Valentine’s Day snacks at Disney World, so check back soon for more reviews!
