Buffets are BACK at Cape May Cafe, but you might cry when you hear this news.

Cape May Cafe is located in Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and it reopened last year with a family-style menu. Now buffets have officially returned, and we got to try breakfast AND dinner. The BIG dinner question on our minds was very clear — what’s the situation with the crab legs?? Well, we have an answer, and you’re probably not going to like it.

We made were so excited to get our hands on some endless crab legs, which have been a classic favorite buffet dish at Cape May Cafe for a long time. We headed to the dinner buffet with visions of unlimited crab legs in our heads, only to find…they’re no longer unlimited.

To put it lightly, we were pretty devastated to receive this news. If you still want to get crab legs at Cape May Cafe, they will now cost you extra. How much extra?

You can “upgrade” your buffet meal and pay $29.99 per pound of snow crab legs, on top of the $42 price for the dinner buffet. Another seafood extra available at Cape May Cafe is Maine lobster, which will set you back an extra $42 for a pound and a third of lobster.

There’s no limit to how many pounds of snow crab legs you can order, but you’ll be charged $29.99 for each pound. That can add up quickly if you have several hungry people at your table ordering crab legs!

So is it worth it? That’s up to you to decide, but make sure you budget your meal accordingly if you really have your heart set on Cape May Cafe crab legs. Stay tuned to DFB for a FULL review of Cape May Cafe’s returning buffet!
