According to Comicbook.com, the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” box office total has now made it the third-highest domestic grossing film of all time. This distinction was previously held by James Cameron’s “Avatar.”
The “Spider-Man: No Way Home” box office has raked in a domestic gross of 760.9 million dollars. It surpasses “Avatar,” which grossed 760.5 million dollars.
It is unlikely for “Spider-Man No Way Home” to take the number two spot currently held by “Avengers Endgame,” which grossed 858 million dollars.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” holds the number one spot with a domestic box office of 936 million.
It had already become Sony’s highest-grossing film of all time. Fans were clamoring for Oscar nominations (though it failed to receive any).
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” stars Tom Holland as the titular web-slinger, Benedict Cumberbatch reprising his role as Dr. Strange, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, and more. Jon Watts, who directed the first two films in the trilogy, returns for the final installment. The movie is still playing in most theaters nationwide, and no release date has been announced for streaming or DVD/Blu-Ray copies.
