What if you could only keep ONE EPCOT ride?

To our Facebook followers, we posed the question, “You can only save ONE ride in EPCOT — which are you keeping?” We got around 1,200 responses and some of the answers might surprise you!

Spaceship Earth

First, let’s talk about some of our more popular responses. Perhaps it’s unsurprising that a LOT of people said Spaceship Earth! One reader said, “It’s just Disney EPCOT to me.” 

We have to agree with our reader who said, “Spaceship Earth the heart of the park,” and one who noted it’s a great choice for more nostalgic EPCOT fans, “Other than Living with the Land, it’s the only ride that’s anything close to what it was on opening day. Besides, I’ve got to save the park’s icon.”

Soarin’ Around the World

Soarin’ Around the World was also a super popular answer (although some noted they wish they could save the original Soarin’ Over California instead!) “That’s easy, Soarin’,” one follower said, “Love love!” 

In fact, it seems Soarin’ fans feel pretty strongly. One reader said, “Why is this even a question? It’s Soarin’,” and another noted, “Soarin’. And anyone who says anything else is WRONG.”

Living with the Land

And in the top three most common responses, Living with the Land also had a pretty strong hold on our readers! “For some reason, I just really love Living with the Land,” one reader said and we have to agree.

Lots of folks weren’t willing to part with the peaceful vibes of a boat trip through the greenhouses (we do love a good boat ride!). Take it from one of our followers who said, “It is the one ride in that park I have to do. I love gardening and it is great!”

Test Track

Perhaps not as popular of an answer as the first three, but still, one that got some serious love was Test Track! One reader noted, “I wanted another lap!” We feel the same way when we hop out of our SIM car! The ultimate addition to a Disney vacation is hopping in a speedy convertible and feeling the wind in your hair — at 65 miles an hour!

Another reader thought hard and answered, “One ride…….Test Track I guess. I haven’t been on Remy yet so I reserve the right to change my mind.”

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Speaking of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, EPCOT’s newest ride has already garnered some support! One reader said, “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is amazing.” 

Hey, you can’t argue with quality, apparently! Another reader noted, “Ratatouille immediately became the best ride at Epcot, so…” We love this charming rat as well, and his give with cuisine is in the perfect spot in EPCOT with all of it’s delicious festivals year-round!

Journey Into Imagination with Figment

Some might feel strongly the other way, but Journey Into Imagination with Figment was saved by a number of our followers. Some miss the old version but one reader put it simply, “I will always choose Figment over anything else.” 

We got a good chuckle when one reader fired back at those who didn’t choose this ride saying “Journey into the Imagination! I seriously hope all you others were not in line for the Figment popcorn bucket.”

Gran Fiesta Tour

At about the same level of Journey Into Imagination with Figment, a few held up the torch for Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. One reader said, “Gran Fiesta Tour. I love it.” 

Another called out the lack of representation for their favorite ride saying, “I didn’t see anyone choose this, but Three Caballeros! It is my favorite ride and I usually try to make it my first and last ride of the day!” Again, we do love a good boat ride!

Frozen Ever After

One of the rarer answers was Frozen Ever After. One reader stood firm saying “Frozen Ever After #NoQuestion.” 

This answer was rare and it was actually pretty clear why. MANY answers mentioned that if they could go back in time they would save Maelstrom, the ride that Frozen Ever After replaced. Anna and Elsa deserve a little more love for the recent renaissance they helped provide Disney Animation Studios, but we’ll….let it go.

Mission SPACE

And another rare answer was Mission SPACE. Though this answer was rare, those who picked it felt VERY strongly about keeping it around. Hey, some folks love a thrill!

One reader said, “Mission Space….but only the Orange side….. I’d fall asleep on the Green version… .” There’s no better way to work up an appetite before heading into World Showcase (or nearby Space 220) than enduring the rigorous 3-month trek to Mars (and that’s just one-way!), you’re sure to be starving by the time you “return” to EPCOT to finish your vacation.

Honorable Mentions

And we had a number of readers who maybe didn’t pick a ride, but had some pretty good answers instead — food and drinks. As one reader puts it, “There are rides in Epcot? I just go there to eat.” 

Some popular food-based answers were “The Margarita booth!!!!” and “The Germany beer and pretzel cart.” We hear you, and we agree 100% — save the margaritas and the pretzels, at all costs!
