Sometimes it’s fun to skip a Disney Park and visit a Disney World hotel instead!
Disney World’s hotels are filled with incredible restaurants, unique shops, and fun activities. Let’s go over what’s new in Disney World’s hotels this week!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Beach Club Food Updates
Buffets recently returned to Cape May Cafe in Disney’s Beach Club Resort (when Cape May Cafe first reopened it was serving food family-style). Both breakfast and dinner buffets have returned, so naturally, we tried both meals!
For breakfast, we loaded up our plate with all kinds of goodies, including Minnie waffles, ham, cheddar biscuits and gravy, and even poached eggs and potato hash with hollandaise sauce
The breakfast buffet is $25 per adult and $14 per child, which actually makes it one of the cheapest breakfast buffets in Disney World!
Here’s our review of the Cape May Cafe breakfast buffet!
And dinner was also a delicious experience. This buffet has lots of options, including meats, seafood, veggies, and more!
It’s $42 per adult and $25 per child, and you can load up your plate as many times as you want!

Note, however, that the previously endless crab legs continue to cost extra (they cost extra during the family-style meal as well), at $29.99 per pound. Although crab legs used to be a huge draw to the Cape May Cafe buffet, they’re no longer unlimited.
If you choose to “upgrade” your buffet meal, it’ll set you back $29.99 per pound of snow crab legs, or $42 for a pound and a third of Maine lobster. It’s really up to you to decide whether it’s worth the extra cost!

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Wilderness Lodge Food Update
We tried the new Valentine’s Day Cupcake at Roaring Fork in Wilderness Lodge, and it was one of the best Disney World cupcakes we’ve ever had! This is a strawberry cupcake with a chocolate custard filling, topped with vanilla buttercream, white chocolate hearts, and heart sprinkles.
Real strawberries flavor this cupcake, and there are even chunks of strawberries in the cake. It wasn’t overly sweet either! The chocolate pudding filling was not super heavy, and we loved the mix of strawberry and chocolate flavors — a classic Valentine’s Day mix!

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas
BoardWalk Inn Merchandise Updates
The Screen Door General Store had a fun display for Valentine’s Day, including flowers and an XOXO Mickey and Minnie T-Shirt.
There were roses available for $8 each…
…and a few other romantic treats were available too!
Let’s head over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Polynesian Village Resort Food Updates
We spotted the return of the basic Valentine’s Sugar Cookie at Capt. Cook’s! For some reason, it was displayed as a croissant, but maybe the cookie is just a little confused.
It’s your typical sugar cookie covered in red, white, and pink heart sprinkles, and it might be worth a try if sugar cookies are your jam!

Polynesian Village Resort Merchandise Updates
BouTiki had Valentine’s Day flowers available for purchase. There was a really pretty arrangement of colorful flowers…
…and red roses too!
We expect these were limited-time offerings for Valentine’s Day so they won’t be sticking around, but it’s a good reminder to check those gift shops if you’ll be visiting Disney World during a special holiday.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Various Updates
Capt. Cook’s had a leaky wall, and multiple signs warning that the floor may be wet.
And for Super Bowl Sunday, the Polynesian had a few special activities, including trivia, games, and a dance party!
There was also a fun pop up bar in honor of Super Bowl Sunday! A Cast Member told us these temporary bar setups typically happen for holidays and special events.
This temporary bar was set up with a TV next to the Moana Mercantile store. So fun!

And we also spotted a Tie-Dye Activity! These types of recreational activities can often be found around Disney World hotels.
Usually, you pay a fee and get to tie-dye a t-shirt or some kind of object as a fun keepsake!
Check out these Disney World activities for the whole family!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa
Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa Merchandise Update
And finally, Curiouser Clothiers in the Grand Floridian had special Valentine’s Day packaging for fragrances!
