Disney World is a POWERHOUSE when it comes to cranking out new merchandise and treats! Just when you think you’ve seen it all, Disney proves you wrong. We’re not complaining, though! From the tiniest little additions to the BIG construction updates, it’s always fun to see what’s new in the Magic Kingdom.
We’re in Disney World pretty much ALL the time, so we figured we’d share a little update on what’s new! Let’s take a look at what we found in the Magic Kingdom this week!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
The Confectionery
Now that it’s February, that means it’s almost Valentine’s Day! You know Disney; they’re always on top of things, so we’ve already seen some V-Day treats popping up around the parks. We found this cute Mickey rice crispy treat at The Confectionery — how festive!
For $5.99, this is a great little snack to get you in the Valentine’s Day spirit!

Speaking of The Confectionery, the shop is all decorated and stocked with Valentine’s Day treats!
There are tons of little chocolates and candy sets just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Golden Oak Outpost
We moseyed over to Frontierland to see what was new, and we noticed that Golden Oak Outpost was closed!
Sometimes, little snack carts and food kiosks throughout the parks close early or don’t open at all! In the past, we’ve noticed that the Cheshire Cafe opens and closes somewhat sporadically.

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Splash Mountain is still closed for a routine refurbishment, and it looks like they’re making some progress!
Lately, it’s been so cold in Disney World that we can’t say we’d be interested in riding Splash Mountain, but the attraction is scheduled to reopen on February 10th, 2022. Hopefully, the weather warms up by then!
Over in Tomorrowland, we checked in on the Tron rollercoaster to see how it was looking! We still don’t have an opening date for this attraction, but we’re hoping it will open soon.
The cute little Timothy Q. Mouse has been on quite the journey in Storybook Circus! For a while, he was missing, but he eventually returned. Timothy Q. Mouse is supposed to spin around on top of the Dumbo sign, but we noticed that he wasn’t moving!
It looks like Uptown Jewelers got a little glow-up; check out the new sign! We love when Disney signs get a little update — it feels refreshing.
Know what else we love? Tiny little details that add to the character of the parks! We found a new friend hanging out by Pinocchio Village Haus. It’s Figaro!
Isn’t he adorable?
