The temperatures are rising in Central Florida and the crowds are out to get a little sunshine in Disney World!
We’re taking a break from all the news about the 2022 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival and the Galactic Starcruiser hotel to bring you an update on all the construction going on throughout Disney World property. With so many changes happening all the time, it’s important to know what’s going on ahead of your next visit. So, let’s check out all the construction updates around Disney World this week!
Magic Kingdom
TRON: Lightcycle Run
This week, we saw crews installing more and more of the canopy fabric to the structure! This architectural delight is finally taking shape, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Here’s a closer look at the progress being made on TRON: Lightcycle Run.
Disney is still keeping us in the dark about when this attraction will be opening, so for the latest info be sure to stay tuned to DFB.

EPCOT
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
We saw some big developments last week when we got a sneak peek at the interior loading area of this ride — and this week we got ANOTHER big update, but this time on the exterior of the ride.
Queue markers have been installed at the entrance of the ride!
We got a pretty good look on a recent monorail ride, too.

Connections Cafe and Eatery
The sign is UP at Connections Cafe and Eatery! Featuring a matching style to the Creations Shop signage, we finally have an idea of what we can expect from this new dining location.
And, we now know that we can expect Connections Cafe to open in Spring 2022, which is technically now, meaning it should be open any day!

Moana: Journey of Water
This new and immersive experience will be the first of its kind in Disney World, and we’re on the edge of our seats in anticipation! We saw more ground being cleared this week, and it looks like there are finally some levels taking shape.
Moana: Journey of Water does not have an opening date quite yet, but you can be sure we’ll keep an eye out — so stay tuned.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Toy Story Mania Gift Shop
Construction is still going on behind closed doors over in Toy Story Land at what was once the Toy Story Mania Gift Shop…
…and we’re still not quite sure what is going in this location, though it could be where Disney is planning to put the new gift shop coming to Toy Story Land (although Disney has not confirmed this).

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Expedition Everest
We’re counting down the days until we can ride our beloved Expedition Everest again! It’s still closed for scheduled maintenance.
We’ll just have to settle for another terrifying monster ride in the meantime. Expedition Everest is scheduled to reopen in mid-April 2022.
Restaurantosaurus
Construction is FINALLY complete on the deck over at Restaurantosaurus!
While the restaurant had remained open during the renovations, the deck was unavailable for seating — until now!
You can dine al fresco with dinos at this Animal Kingdom spot.
Disney Resorts
Yacht Club
There’s still construction going on at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, so you’ll have to follow signs for alternate routes to Ale & Compass if you’ve got a dining reservation.
It looks like routine maintenance to the exterior of the building, but we’ll be keeping an eye on this location for more updates.
Caribbean Beach
Over at the Fuentes del Morro play area, maintenance is being done on the equipment so the kiddos will have to play elsewhere! Just make sure it’s not…
…the Martinique Village Pool, because that’s closed for refurbishments, too!
We’re keeping an eye on the progress for potential completion dates!

Art of Animation
The Righteous Reef Playground is undergoing some maintenance…
…as well as the Cozy Cone Pool!
Completion dates have not been announced for these refurbs, but you can be sure we’ll share every update we get.
Grand Floridian
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is undergoing some major renovations in the Big Pine Key building!
Crews are hard at work transforming the rooms into the new DVC Villas that will be available for Disney Vacation Club members.
The rooms are scheduled to open in summer 2022, though an official date has not been announced just yet!
