There are always so many different celebrations happening at Walt Disney World and can be hard to find the smaller ones during the more significant events. St. Patrick’s Day occurs during Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival, a favorite fan festival. Of course, there are ways to celebrate at Epcot, and we will get into that in this article, but I wanted to shed light on some other ways to celebrate as well.
At Disney Springs, you can find Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, where you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with live music, Irish dancers, and of course, fantastic food and drink. The Mighty St. Patrick’s Day Festival will be held from March 11th to the 17th and will have Irish Bands and the Raglan Road Dancers for entertainment. Last year the cover charge for the event was ten dollars, and there was a two-hour time limit on tables. Make sure to grab those reservations to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. I enjoy the atmosphere at Raglan Road and being a performer; I love to see the Irish dancers because they are amazingly talented. Be sure to wear green and come hungry!
If you prefer quick-service dining, on the backside of Raglan Road is the Cookes of Dublin. Here you can order an array of food from Fish and Chips, Hog in a Box, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, or the Cookes Classic Battered Burger. If you like tea, this is where you can find Bewley’s Irish Hot Tea. Just outside is of Cookes of Dublin is Hole in the Wall bar, where you can grab some of your favorite drinks that are served at Raglan Road.
If you happen to be in Epcot on or around St. Patrick’s Day, make sure you head over to the United Kingdom Pavilion. Here you can celebrate at the Rose & Crown Pub. It may be labeled a British establishment, but you can get drinks that carry the Irish legacy. The Leaping Leprechaun is one of those drinks. This drink is made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Don Q Cristal Rum, Sky Vodka, Melon Liqueur, and Sweet-and- sour topped with Sprite. They also have an Irish Whiskey Flight, and of course, they have Guinness. Rose and Crown Pub also has two food options to pair with your drinks. They serve Fish and Chips and a Sausage Roll with Chips.
If you want to celebrate in a more subtle way or your travel party happens to be in Hollywood Studios this day, head over to BaseLine Tap House. Here you can grab a beer and cheers to St. Patrick’s Day and enjoy a huge pretzel. This location may not scream St. Patrick’s Day, but it could be a fun, low-key place to celebrate with your travel party.
