Every year, Universal Studios Japan refreshes their outdoor entertainment slate, with just about every show getting changed out for something new and more fun. With the conclusion of the World Street Festival theme, the former Power of Pop group has retired, and one of Japan’s most well-known kawaii exports has taken over — Hello Kitty!
Now you might be wondering how something with a name like “Happiness Brass Band” would be fun and engaging, but the team at Universal Studios Japan really hit it out of the park with fun and adorable choreography, excellent performers, and a great musical slate which includes pop hits from both Japan and the West.
You can watch the full 15-minute performance above courtesy of our YouTube channel.
“Hello Kitty Happiness Brass Band” runs 4-5 times daily through early 2023, so be sure to stop over in front of Mel’s Drive-In at Universal Studios Japan next time to watch. You’ll be glad you did!
