No matter how much you plan for your Disney World vacation, things can still go wrong that you have no control over.
The weather can shut down rides, the crowds can be bonkers, or the snack you’ve been wanting to try for weeks isn’t available any more. That’s when you just gotta deal with the cards you’re dealt and readjust! Because even Disney has technical difficulties from time to time, which is what shut down one show in the parks today.
Festival of the Lion King has closed for the day in Animal Kingdom.
The show was open earlier today…
…with showtimes being listed until 5PM.
But, around 1PM, a reader (@kaitlin.dlc) informed us on Instagram that the showtimes for the rest of the day has disappeared on My Disney Experience, so went back over to the area to check out what was going on.

Sure enough, the times after 1PM had been removed.
Cast Members told us they are having technical difficulties with the set and will not be reopening for the rest of the day.
Be aware that even though the sign at Tusker House says there are afternoon showtimes, that is not accurate anymore. The times just haven’t been removed from the sign yet.
Hopefully the show will be back open tomorrow, so stay tuned to DFB for news and updates.
