Starbucks Signage Added to Connections Café and Eatery at EPCOT

The iconic Starbucks logo has been added to the Connections Café and Eatery archways in EPCOT.

This archway and sign were revealed when the walkway past Spaceship Earth reopened recently.

Where previously there were black dots on the inside of the archway, the Starbucks logo has been installed.

The logo is visible behind the planters on the other side.

We could also see the logo on the archway in the nearby breezeway.

The cafe of Connections Café and Eatery will be the park’s permanent Starbucks location.

When Connections Café does open, the temporary Traveler’s Cafe Starbucks will close. This is expected to happen sometime this spring.

The Hollywood Reporter Speculates Bob Chapek Might Be Removed as CEO of Walt Disney Company in 11 Months

Disney CEO Bob Chapek has not been doing well at his job. Since being put in charge of the parks and resorts division in 2015, he managed to anger and distance long-time fans of the product, but since becoming CEO of the entire company in 2020, his inability to lead effectively has been apparent. From wars with talent, to the absolute destruction of Walt Disney Imagineering, to the latest debacle over Florida legislature, it is no secret that Chapek has done little but bungle the opportunity he was given. If you’ve been following this website since 2015, as you would guess, we aren’t surprised.

The latest hit-piece on “Bob C.” is from The Hollywood Reporter. If you want to understand how Chapek is perceived within his own organization these days, here’s an idea:

A cartoon hanging in the production offices of The Simpsons seems to suggest an opinion: It has Chapek in the “In Memoriam” section of the Oscars show.

Kim Masters, The Hollywood Reporter

With just 11 months left on his contract, the article speculates Chapek may not survive within the company beyond that point. Entertainment chief Peter Rice and ex-CFO Tom Staggs (a man who inarguably saved and strengthened the Parks and Resorts division a decade ago) would seem to be favorites to replace the disliked current CEO.

You can read the remainder of the article here.

What do you think? Should Chapek lose his job as CEO?

REVIEW: 2-Patty Galaxy Burger Lands at Galactic Grill in Disneyland

Galactic Grill at Disneyland Park is serving up the new Galaxy Burger, featuring two patties and plenty of toppings. The burger is not on the posted menu and is only available via mobile order.

Galaxy Burger – $15.49

Two Angus beef patties, with slices of American cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, bread and butter pickles, mustard and house-made burger sauce, served with choice of Greek yogurt or French fries

This burger is okay. It’s not spectacular nor unpleasant, just fine.

With the two gigantic patties being the cornerstones of the dish, we wish it was higher-quality meat than just the grocery store frozen patties.

There is ample melted cheese.

The bread and butter pickles and sweet grilled onions bring a pop of sweetness, which is unexpected but welcome, so the burger is not without surprises.

We enjoyed it but there are many better options for meals here at Disneyland so it feels like a waste to settle for this.

Read our review of the Ahsoka Tano orange-vanilla parfait also from Galactic Grill.
