There are a lot of great options if you’re looking to “drink around the world” in EPCOT, but there’s one that tops the list for many guests.
La Cava del Tequila
La Cava del Tequila is located in the Mexico pavilion of World Showcase, and it’s one of the most popular watering holes in all of Disney World — and for good reason. Today, we stopped by for the delicious Lily Margarita and some chips and guac, but while we were there, a different drink caught our eye! Is this one worth foregoing the classic margarita? Let’s find out!
Inside La Cava del Tequila, you’ll find plenty of options for various cocktails but their specialty is the margarita (in many forms). Today, however, we saw a placard for a different drink — the Oaxacan Mule.
Oaxacan Mule
This drink isn’t new (a Cast Member told us it’s been around for a couple of months), but we’ve been distracted by some other new drinks here and haven’t had the chance to try it out yet! Now, we’re happy to remedy that omission. The Oaxacan Mule is made with Ilegal reposado mezcal, Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, fresh lime juice, and Fever-Tree Ginger beer. It costs $20.
Let’s try it!
Our first impression — this is a very tasty mule! It tasted like a normal Moscow mule but with a little bit of a smoky flavor from that mezcal, which replaced the vodka.
Yum!
We really enjoyed the mezcal in it because it had just the right amount of smokiness to offset the sweetness from the ginger beer and lime juice. Other options — like tequila or vodka — would probably have made the drink too sweet for our taste.
Like a normal mule but with mezcal
Although we have no complaints when it comes to this drink, we probably wouldn’t advise you to get it over one of the many margarita options here. Margs are what this spot is known for, so you don’t want to miss out on a classic! But if you’re a big fan of mules or if you come here often and want to try something new, we don’t think you’ll go wrong with the Oaxacan Mule.
Consider a classic marg, but this is still good!

Fans can brighten up even the darkest night with a pair of newly-reimagined, colorful night lights available at Walt Disney World!
The monorail night light is now featured in a neon green, while the Cinderella Castle night light can now be found in blue. The lights previously debuted at the resort back in 2020 in a simple white.
Green Monorail Night Light — $16.99
In addition to the basic green, the lights inside change colors, giving it a new look with each change.
The lights flash in red, yellow, and blue, making for some pleasing color mixes.
Blue Castle Night Light — $16.99
This light seems to be modeled more closely on Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle than Cinderella Castle, suggesting that it will eventually be sold at the Disneyland Resort as well.
The lights also change color here, standing out especially on the blue. The blue on blue gives it a magical glow.
Meanwhile, the green light gives it a sort of aqua tint.
We found both of these night lights at Gateway Gifts in EPCOT.

But don’t worry, we’re in the Disney World parks EVERY DAY looking out for the latest news, foods, and merch to share with you! So without further ado, let’s take a look at what’s new in Hollywood Studios!
We popped on over to this “Warehouse of Good Eating” because we heard they added some new items to their menu — and they certainly did! We started with the Southwest Salad ($9.99).
New items at Backlot Express
It comes with romaine lettuce, roasted corn relish, diced tomatoes, pickled red onion, feta cheese, and a house-made jalapeño lime ranch dressing. We were a bit disappointed with this salad, as it had great potential but just fell flat in our opinion.

Then, we tried the new Teriyaki Chicken Bowl for $12.99. It’s made with seasoned jasmine rice, teriyaki chicken, yuzu-pickled edamame, carrots, cucumber, and onions drizzled with house-made lemon-tahini-chipotle vinaigrette and sesame seeds. We enjoyed this dish and thought the flavors went really well together!
Teriyaki Chicken Bowl
Last but not least, we tried the Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Burger for $14.29. It’s a 1/3 pound burger topped with slow-smoked pulled pork, American cheese, coleslaw, crispy onions, and house-made sweet-and-tangy barbecue sauce.
Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Burger
The pork really stood out on this burger and was by far our favorite part!
Fans of the famous fairy from Peter Pan will be glad to know we spotted these adorable Tinker Bell Bike Shorts on our recent trip to Hollywood Studios.
Tink would probably rock these.
They’re $36.99 and look like they’d be perfect for a spring or summer park day!

We don’t often see our girl Daisy on a whole lot of merch, so it’s super exciting when we find something new — like this Daisy Duck Sweater Tank for $39.99!
We love some Daisy merch!
It’s made of sweatshirt material, but is pretty lightweight and super soft.

With so many exciting updates happening all throughout Disney World, it can be easy to forget that we’re still celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!
You can find these specialty bottles throughout the four parks — each bottle features a different park icon with a distinct color. If you get lucky, you might find the fifth bottle, which has a special gold label.
Umm WOW how beautiful?! NEW#DisneyWorld Coca-Cola bottles spotted in the parks! You can get the classic 50th bottles or bottles with the parks’ beacons on them pic.twitter.com/XlwDvpP1Cw
But, what we think is the COOLEST part about the new design is that it features the same shape as the Coca-Cola bottles you would have found in Disney World way back in 1971 when the park opened!
The prettiest soda bottle we’ve ever seen!
So, if you’ve got a hankerin’ for a cold Coca-Cola (sorry, no sarsaparilla options), head on over to your favorite Disney park and get a souvenir bottle to take home with ya!

Many hotels, restaurants, activities, and attractions have reopened throughout the Most Magical Place on Earth, and more reopenings are on the way. Today, another piece of Disney World became available again for fans to enjoy. “What happened?” you say? Well, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort reopened today and we went to check it out! Why is this moment so huge? Well, it’s because for the very first time in over 2 years — we can officially say that every resort in Disney World is OPEN!
Arrival
On the main building you’ll find a GIANT star (an icon of all 3 All-Star Resorts, hence the all star name). If you drive right up to the giant star, you’ll find a covered area at the entrance to the hotel, which you can use to drop off your family and bags.
GIANT Star
The main building is predominantly blue with lots of white stars on it, and you’ll see the All-Star Sports name near the back, with some more stars all around. Gosh, they really love their stars here don’t they?!
Can’t miss it!
This back area is the bus stop pick-up spot for the hotel, so you’ll want to head here to grab a Disney bus to your favorite parks.
Where you’ll catch buses to the parks!
Alright, enough about the outside. Let’s go inside the hotel!
Like the other All-Star Resorts, the theming here is the typical LARGER THAN LIFE theming you’re used to seeing at Disney’s Value Resorts. You’ll find GIANT Coca-Cola cans, footballs and football helmets, tennis rackets, basketballs, and more!
Lobby & Main Building Area
In the main building, you’ll find the Resort’s lobby. You can come here to check in to your room or otherwise speak with the Cast Members when you need assistance. Much like the other All-Star Resorts (and some other Disney World hotels) the front desk here is now really a series of little desks (rather than one central, large one. You’ll find smaller desks spread out throughout one area of the space, with Cast Members stationed at each one.
Want to skip the front desk experience entirely? Remember that you can use Disney’s direct-to-room service by using Online Check-In.
Lobby
In the lobby, you’ll find details and designs meant to evoke that sports theme that carries throughout the entire hotel. White stars abound on the blue background. Take a close look at the outlined designs near the check-in area to see how many sports you can identify! Also in the lobby you’ll find a small seating area for guests… .
Seating area
When it comes to checking out of your hotel, remember that you can utilize Disney’s express checkout service. A new app-based check-out service is also being rolled out at select Disney World hotels. While it isn’t available at All-Star Sports just yet, we’ll be on the lookout for more updates. The front desk had balloons to celebrate the resort’s reopening, and there were signs welcoming guests back to the hotel.
Welcome back!
Be sure to check out the hotel activities, too — there are loads of things to keep you entertained!
Here, you can take a look at some of the monuments accomplishments of stellar athletes. Seriously, we wouldn’t blame you if you see these photos and suddenly feel inspired to take up beach volleyball or figure skating (similar to how some of us might feel after watching the Olympics — it just all looks so epic!!).
Hall of Fame
A nice feature of this area is that it has tons of natural light, making the whole space feel really bright. The main building isn’t just home to check-in desks though, it’s also got some food and shopping. Let’s tackle that now!
Dining and Shopping
In terms of food, the main dining option at All-Star Sports is its food court — the End Zone Food Court. The entire place is themed to…you guessed it, SPORTS! You’ll find all kinds of details throughout the space showcasing Disney characters like Pluto, Mickey, and more, all participating in sports activities.
This spot serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has some of your more “standard” theme park fare. At breakfast, you can grab Mickey waffles, an omelet, a bagel sandwich, and some other items.
All meal times also include kids meal options, and you’ll generally find a number of treats in the bakery, as well as some grab-and-go snacks, fresh fruits, and beverages. In terms of other dining/drink options, you can also head over to Grandstand Spirits, the pool bar. Here’ you’ll find some alcoholic beverages like margaritas and more.
Let’s hit the bar!
In terms of shopping, All-Star Sports’ gift shop is located in the main building and is called Sport Goofy Gifts and Sundries. This is your go-to place for souvenirs and more while at the hotel. Here, you’ll find sports apparel, souvenirs themed to the hotel, and some classic Disney ears and other items. There are also some snacks and essential supplies (like first-aid related things).
In terms of other pools, you’ll find 2 different pools at All-Star Sports. First, there’s the Surfboard Bay Pool, in the surfboard-themed area. Fun fact: the pool is actually a 242,471-gallon swimming pool! It’s got surfboards lining the area, and more! There’s also a kiddie pool nearby for the little ones.
The main pool
In another part of the resort, you’ll find the Grand Slam Pool. This pool is actually shaped like a baseball diamond (appropriate!) and features Goofy standing on the pitchers mound! The sundeck is also themed to look like an outfield and there are GIANT baseball bats lining the whole pool area. Note that there are complimentary towels in the pool areas.
Guest Rooms & Surrounding Areas
In terms of guest rooms, the rooms generally sleep 4 adult guests. There are standard rooms, or preferred rooms. The preferred rooms are closer to Stadium Hall (the main building), as well as the shopping, dining, and transportation located near there. We’ll be sharing a FULL room tour soon, so stay tuned to that!
The rooms
And that’s it for now from the reopening of All-Star Sports. We’ll be sure to share more details with you on all of Disney World’s hotels so check back with us for all the latest updates!
