runDisney’s Virtual Series are races that you can complete anywhere you want. You can run at home on the treadmill, map out a course in your neighborhood, or even find a running trail in Disney World (many hotels have them nearby) and complete the race while you’re there on vacation. If that sounds like your kind of thing, check out the 2022 summer Virtual Series, featuring a classic Disney film!
Like we predicted last week, this summer’s Virtual Race Series will havea Frozen theme! Each of the 3 races celebrates a different aspect of this story. The series will take place between June 1st and August 31st, 2022. Since they’re virtual races, you can run them at any point during that time.
There are 3 different 5K races in this series, and if you complete all 3, you can get an extra Virtual Challenge medal as well! The races are called The Original Classic, The Heroic Sequel, and The Broadway Hit. Each one costs $47.97 to register, or you can register for the runDisney Virtual Challenge for $159.90, which includes all 3 races and that extra Challenge medal.
Registration includes themedal, a themed bib, and an at-home race kit. In the kit, you’ll find downloadable signs for a start line, finish line, and mile markers. Registration opens for all 4 races on April 5th, 2022, at 10AM EST.

Okay, we talk all the time about the food you’re going to eat on vacation and the rides you’re going to check out, but there’s one important thing missing…the SHOPPING!
There’s so much shopping to be done on a Disney World trip!
It wouldn’t be a complete Disney World vacation without some truly awesome souvenirs, whether that means Minnie ears, 50th Anniversary merchandise, or any of the thousands of fun little trinkets you can find in the parks. And now, a souvenir spot that has been closed since the pandemic FINALLY reopened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
If you’re planning to rock, roll, and flip upside down on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, then you’ve definitely walked right past the Shop ‘n’ Roll souvenir stand during your visit. It’s located outside in front of the ride, but it has been closed for over two years now.
It’s back!
HOWEVER, the stand reopened yesterday, according to a Cast Member, and we got the chance to stop by this morning. They’ve got a wide variety of souvenirs, including hats and ears…
All the Disney headgear.
…a bunch of different pins and patches…
So. Many. Pins.
…and there’s even a cart with some spray fans, cold drinks, and cooling towels for sale. We’re starting to get into those hot weather months, and if you weren’t prepared for the sweltering heat, then these items could be lifesavers.
Essentials for the heat!
They also have a couple dozen different pairs of sunglasses, including some fun Disney-themed patterns for the kiddos. With the prime location on Sunset Boulevard, it’s easy to just pop over here and purchase what you need in the middle of your day.
They have quite the variety here.
That’s everything for now in Hollywood Studios, but stay tuned to DFB for more news and updates straight from the theme parks! We’ve got you covered with the latest!
