Dates and Pricing Announced for Disneyland’s 2022 Eggstravaganza!

What’s better than a regular Easter egg hunt? An Easter egg hunt at Disneyland, of course! Each year, Disneyland celebrates Easter with an Easter egg hunt called Eggstravaganza. (Sometimes other Disney parks, like EPCOT, have even gotten in on the fun in years past.)

Mr. Toad Easter Egg in Tomorrowland up on the PeopleMover tracks!

We now have some more details about this year’s Easter egg hunt! Let’s hop to it!

This year’s Eggstravaganza will begin on March 31st and run until April 17th. To participate, you’ll just need to head to select merchandise locations throughout Disneyland and purchase your game board for $9.99. There are three different game boards available: one for Disneyland, one for Disney California Adventure, and one for Downtown Disney!

Once you’ve purchased your game board, you’re then on the hunt for hidden Easter eggs around your chosen location. The eggs will be painted like Disney characters. Once you’ve found all of the hidden eggs, take your game board to the redemption point and claim your prize — a Disney character Easter egg of your very own!

Redemption points include Plaza Point at Disneyland, Elias & Co. at California Adventure, and Disney’s Pin Traders and World of Disney in Downtown Disney.

We’ll keep our ears open for updates about whether this event will be coming to EPCOT, so stay tuned to DFB for all the latest info!

REVIEW: Get This Not That in Disneyland — Boozy Ice Cream Float Edition

Okay, so booze and ice cream should be a match made in heaven, right?

Clarabelle’s Ice Cream

We’ve had a lot of delicious ice cream treats with alcohol, including boozy milkshakes, boozy Dole Whips, and ice cream martinis! We’ve enjoyed most of those treats…until now. 😬 We checked out some NEW boozy drinks at Disneyland that seemed promising, and one of them really delivered! But in the end, one of those drinks turned out to be very disappointing.

Okay, so we headed on over to Disney California Adventure to pop into Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream. There are a few new drinks on the menu, including the Port Wine Pourover for $12.50. This is a Taylor Fladgate Late Bottled Vintage Port Wine poured over your choice of ice cream flavor. Two great things — wine and ice cream — mixed together? Sign us up!

Wine + ice cream should be good, right?

But…well, our reporter found the port wine to be very bitter. Yes, we know, a lot of red wines come across that way (it IS an acquired taste). However, we were hoping the ice cream would balance that out a bit. Instead, the wine just overpowered all the flavors. So we found a wine and ice cream snack that just didn’t work for us.

It’s a “no” from us

We’ve got some good news, though, to make up for that! The new seasonal drink in this spot, the Mangonada, was MUCH better. It’s made with two scoops of Mango Sorbet, layered with Tamarind Chamoy and Fresh Mango Chunks, and has a Chile-Lime Seasoning Rim for $7.99. Now, THIS was a refreshing drink. The beer taste nearly disappears beneath the mango sorbet, so you just get a nice, cool mango drink.

Now, THAT’S refreshing!

We also loved the addition of the Tamarind Chamoy, so you get a tart and sour twist to each sip. In our opinion, this is THE perfect drink for a hot California day!

Delicious Mango sorbet!

So our suggestion is to get the Mangonada and skip the Port Wine Pourover if you happen to find yourself at Clarabelle’s and want something delicious and refreshing. We’ll keep trying all the new treats and drinks at Disneyland AND Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more reviews!
