Disneyland is always churning out new sweet treats for us to try!
Candy Palace
We recently tried a refreshing (?) churro, a super sugary sweet treat, and a strawberry lemonade funnel cake, and there’s STILL more to eat! Disneyland loves to put out seasonal treats, and Easter is right around the corner. We think you can see where we’re going with this. We just tried an Easter cupcake in Disneyland — but does it make our must-try list?
This Easter Cupcake is available at Candy Palace in Disneyland for $5.99, and you can use a Magic Key Discount on it as well. When we first bit into the cupcake it was a little dry, but the vanilla flavor was great. We could also taste a hint of mint in the frosting.
Easter Cupcake in Disneyland!
This cupcake was beautifully decorated with a white chocolate Easter egg decal, colorful sprinkles, and milk chocolate Mickey ears! We loved the seasonal touches that it had. Be careful biting into those sprinkles, though, because they’re pretty hard.
It’s almost Easter!
Overall, this was a great Disneyland cupcake. If you’re looking for a classic sweet treat in the parks, then this is definitely a solid choice. It’s served in an upside-down cup, which made it super easy to carry out of the store!
Yum!
We’re always trying the new snacks that pop up in the Disney Parks, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
During the 2022 Game Developers Conference, Disney shared charts mapping the possible passenger journeys and the narrative structure of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. This article will contain spoilers for the experience.
The passenger journey map shows how guests go from just a passenger to a hero through six possible paths. Each path is connected to another, for three full stories.
The Resistance and First Order are connected, the Smuggler and Rom-Com stories are connected, and the Force and Heist stories are connected.
This means that if you choose to help either the Resistance or First Order (or work both sides), you will likely get a good idea of that entire general story. However, you would likely miss out on a lot of elements of the Smuggler/Rom-Com and Force/Heist stories.
The narrative structure chart goes deeper into when story moments happen. Each journey is represented by a symbol. The Resistance and First Order are represented by their respective logos, and the Force story is represented by the Jedi logo. The Smuggler story is represented by a square-shaped symbol, the Rom-Com by an image of the two lovers back-to-back, and the Heist by a triangular symbol.
Each story moment is split up by location, “act,” and activity. There are three “acts,” the first one called “character intros & set up.” This act takes place on the first day of the voyage. The second act is “missions,” taking place during the planet visit on the second day. The final act is the finale, taking place on the evening of the second day.
The locations listed on the chart are Batuu, lounge, bridge, atrium, TSR (table-service restaurant), engineering room, and training pod. The activities along the top of the chart are arrival, muster, program, dinner, planet visit, and departure — with program and dinner repeated.
Two or three symbols are shown next to each other in each row and column, matching up with an activity and location. For example, the First Order and Resistance symbols are both shown in the Atrium during the Muster, meaning that story moments for those happen there during that activity. All the symbols are shown under “planet visit” and Batuu during act 2: missions. Different symbol combinations are shown in different locations during programming. Lines connect the clusters of symbols to show how the entire narrative flows and connects.
Here is a more in-depth breakdown of the chart:

The first thing we tried at Galactic Grill was the new Galaxy Burger. This is made with 2 burger patties, grilled onions, lettuce, pickles, a house-made burger sauce, and cheese. If you’re looking for the closest thing you can get to an In-n-Out burger in Disneyland, this is it! The grilled onions and burger sauce reminded us a lot of the burgers at that classic food chain.
Galaxy Burger with Fries
This burger was super messy! It was very heavy on the mayo, and that (paired with the mustard, pickles, and lettuce) made the whole thing a pretty slippery ordeal. Because of the generous sauce amount, the buns on this burger were pretty soggy.
Galaxy Burger
While the patties on the burger were pretty thick and filling, they were unfortunately pretty dry as well. Overall, it was kinda bland and not super exciting, but definitely not bad either. If you need a basic burger to fill you up at Disneyland, or if you’re traveling with less adventurous eaters, this might be just what you need! It’s $12.99 at Galactic Grill, and you can use a Magic Key Discount on it.

And it came with a side of fries as well, which were thin and crispy.

We also tried the Key Lime Pie Slush. This drink came with a glow cube, and was $11.49. It was also eligible for Magic Key Holder discounts! This slush was SUPER sweet, but we’ve come to expect that from Disney’s slush drinks.
Key Lime Pie Slush
The lime flavor was pretty strong, and it brought a little bit of a tartness into the mix. Still, it wasn’t enough to balance out the sweetness. If you love sugary drinks and citrus flavors, this is a dream come true for you! When we mixed in the whipped cream, it made the drink less sweet somehow, which definitely helped.
Key Lime Pie Slush
The lime gummy that came on top of this drink was even limey-er than the drink itself! In general, we thought the slush was super refreshing, and it’s a great choice for a hot day in Disneyland.
Glow Cube in the Key Lime Pie Slush
That’s everything we tried at Galactic Grill, but we’re always trying all of the newest snacks that pop up around Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB for more!

Change — love it or hate it, Disney World is FULL of change these days, and more change is on the way.
Magic Kingdom

This week has been one full of changes — either announcements of changes that have already been made or ones that will soon take place. What changes should you be prepared for? Read on!
1 — Minnie Vans are coming BACK
First up in terms of news this week, we have the upcoming return of a special Disney World offering. You read that headline right folks — Minnie Vans are coming BACK! Recently, Disney shared that Minnie Vans will be returning to Disney World this summer.
Minnie Van
Disney hasn’t shared many other details yet, but we’re on the lookout for more info and will let you know what we find.
We can’t wait to see what Connections Cafe & Eatery will look like once it’s all done. We’re looking for all construction updates, so stay tuned for more news!
It is believed that this subvariant will become dominant in the United States soon. While we really haven’t seen Disney’s rules be altered due to this subvariant, things are subject to change.
Another COVID-19 change is also quietly going back to normal. In this case, it’s all about…the plexiglass! At a number of locations (but not all of them) we’ve started to notice that the plexiglass barriers that were previously in place have been removed.
Big Top Treats
And finally, over at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, things are a little bit more lively now when you order the signature Kitchen Sink dessert! If you order it or someone else does, you might even get the chance to shout “A WHOLE CAN?!” This is a time-honored Beaches & Cream tradition and refers to the fact that the Kitchen Sink has a WHOLE can of whipped cream on it.
The celebrations will include special characters to draw at the Animation Experience, unique PhotoPass shots, limited-time snacks, and more! It’s sure to be a wild time no matter how to decide to celebrate!
