The smell of freshly made beignets, the sight of wrought-iron fenced balconies, and the sound of horse hooves pulling a carriage — what comes to mind? New Orleans? Not quite — we’re still in Disney World!
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter is one of spots themed after the popular tourist destination and its surrounding areas (the other being Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside). Port Orleans French Quarter is inspired by the sights and sounds of the New Orleans Jazz scene and features a Mardi Gras-themed pool, Jazz club, and even horse-drawn carriage rides! If you’ve ever wondered what the rooms look like inside this resort, you’re in luck — we’re taking you on a room tour of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter!
Today, we’re taking a tour of a Standard View Room at Port Orleans French Quarter. This room features 2 Queen-Size beds and sleeps up to 4 adults. Let’s take a peek at what you see when you open the door.
And, in case you want to know what the room door looks like, we snagged a photo of that too.
Next to the room door is the room’s lonely window…
… here’s what it looks like with the curtains drawn…
… and the air-conditioning unit.
Also just inside the door is a small table with two chairs as well!
And of course, the television and dresser are along that wall, as well as a shelf with hooks and a bench.
The dresser features three drawers for storage, along with a mini-fridge…
… and this is where you’ll find the coffee maker and ice bucket as well.
There are two queen beds in this room, with a shared nightstand in between.
The nightstand is where you’ll find outlets, USB ports, a telephone, and even more storage for your stay.
Now, onto the bathroom! There isn’t technically a door to the sink area of the bathroom, which is pretty common in Disney Resort hotel rooms.
But don’t worry, there IS a door where it counts, the shower and toilet area.
Let’s take a look inside, shall we? There are some extra towels hanging above the toilet…
and there’s also a small trash can on the ground.
Inside the shower, you’ll find H2O bath products…
… plus a pretty fancy-lookin’ shower head!
The shower/tub combo offers about as much room as you’d expect, but you’d be able to wash the park day off of a sticky kid or two easily! Okay, it may not always be that easy… .
On the opposite side of the shower is the room’s closet, which features an iron and ironing board, hangers, waste bins, and an extra pillow and blanket!
Inside the closet is also where you’ll find the safe for your valuables.
On the double vanity you’ll find common Disney Resort hotel sights like H20 bath products and tissues…
… and underneath offers plenty of storage for your items, plus more towels.
The mirror above the vanity is a decent size, and there’s an extendable magnifying mirror, too!
And, there you have it! Now you know what the Standard View Room looks like at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter. The rates for this room start around $315 per night but are always subject to change and will fluctuate based on your chosen dates.
