It’s beginning to look a lot like springtime in Disney! Now that the Flower and Garden Festival started, we’re seeing floral topiaries all over EPCOT, plus some new seasonal treats have us excited for warmer weather and the upcoming holidays! Yeah, it’s safe to say that spring has sprung in Disney World.
For our friends who have a vacation to Disney World coming up during the second week of March, you might want to see the weather forecast in Orlando before you leave. It’s been pretty warm in Orlando lately, but spring weather sometimes brings rain, rain, and more rain to Disney World. Luckily, we’re back this week to take a look at the upcoming weather forecast in Disney World!
Weather Forecast
It’s officially March! Last week, the temperature reached a high of 84°, with lows in the 60s (it was a lovely week!). This week, prepare for some typical spring weather!
Although you should probably bank of a little bit of rain during your vacation, the temperatures this week look VERY comfortable. According to The Weather Channel, you can expect your days to be warm and sunny for the second week of March, with lows hovering around the 60s for most of the week.
March 7th
Monday, March 7th looks like it might be a rainy day! The temperature will be around 90° during the day, and it will go down to 68° in the evening. Pack an umbrella, ponchos, or a rain jacket!
The forecast calls for near record-high temperatures for this time in March, which is good news for those of us who are bothered by the cold (we can’t all be like Elsa, after all).
March 8th
On Tuesday, March 8th, the weather should be nice and warm again! Based on the forecast, there’s a pretty high chance of precipitation again. You’ll definitely want to wear waterproof shoes — no one wants mushy, gushy socks. Yuck!
Don’t let the rain scare you, though. In Florida, rain comes and goes all the time. If you’re lucky, the rain will blow through in no time.
March 9th
On Wednesday, March 9th, the temperature looks pretty much identical to the day before! The good news is that the chance of rain is much lower on Wednesday.
We also suggest that you take note of the humidity! On Wednesday, the humidity climbs from 65% to 82% throughout the day. The humidity can take a comfortable day and make it much warmer.
March 10th
On Thursday, March 10th, the temperature reaches 88° (again), with a 70% chance of rain. The low is 68°, with 60-80% (ish) humidity throughout the day. The wind is predicted to come in at 10 to 15 mph, so pack a jacket if you can!
If you’re sick of the rain, head inside! There are so many underrated indoor attractions and areas to explore in the parks and resorts. We suggest walking through Walt Disney Presents: One Man’s Dream in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
March 11th
For Friday, March 11th, expect to see the temperature reach around 89°. It’s going to be another cloudy day, but make sure to wear sunscreen even on an overcast day. Don’t let those clouds fool you!
The chance of rain increases throughout the day, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will pour down rain all day.
March 12th
Interestingly, things take a turn over the weekend. On Saturday, March 12th, there will be a high of 76° and a low of 48°. It might be a little cooler than what you’re used to, so make sure to bring some warmer clothing just in case you get chilly in the evening!
Speaking of outfits, make sure to bring items you can layer! With the nice weather we’re seeing, you might be tempted to pack tank tops and shorts, but between the wind, rain, and cooler weather on the weekend, you might want a light sweater to throw over your shirt.
March 13th
Finally, Sunday, March 13th ends the week with a high of 67° and a low of 55° at night. The good news is that there’s only a low chance of rain on Sunday!
This week’s forecast looks pretty good — we’ll keep our fingers crossed for ya!
Overview of the Week
Here is a full overview of the week from The Weather Channel. The temperature will range between 67-90° during the day, then drop to the 60s at night. Keep in mind that the weather predictions can change, but for now, this overview should give you an idea of what’s in store for the week.
We checked a few other websites, like Click Orlando News 6…
…and WESH 2 News. It looks like everyone is reporting fairly similar forecasts.
Remember that Florida weather can change at any time! Keep your eyes on the forecast so you know what to expect every day of the week.
How Should You Plan?
Now, let’s look at a few ways you prepare for the week ahead!
Invest in a quality umbrella
Yes, those inexpensive umbrellas are handy in a pinch, but when you’re dealing with windy, rainy conditions, you’re going to want a heavy-duty umbrella that stands up to the elements. No one wants to experience that awful moment where a gust of wind blows your umbrella inside-out.
Pro tip: when you’re going through security, take your umbrella out of your park bag!

Pack waterproof shoes
They may not walk the runways of any major fashion shows, but waterproof shoes like Crocs or Natives will come in VERY handy on a rainy day!
Speaking from experience, walking around EPCOT with wet socks is not a good feeling. It’s just not.
