Review: Can Confirm. Disney World’s Latest Treat Is NOT Getting Into Peanut Butter Heaven

If you’re obsessed with knowing about (and eventually trying) all of the latest and greatest snacks in Disney World, this has been QUITE the week for you!

Easter Egg

From the opening of the Local Green Orlando food truck, to a brand NEW DOLE Whip spot, and all kinds of St. Patrick’s Day treats — it’s been an exciting (and hectic!) time when it comes to Disney food news. And now it’s time for MORE new treats to arrive themed to bunny butts (if you know, you know) and spring! Today, we tried one of these limited time offerings and it was…well, not what we hoped.

After checking out all of the awesome goodies being offered at the Grand Cottage

Look at all of those treats!

…and admiring some EPIC chocolate Easter Eggs

Figment and Spaceship Earth

…we made our way to Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to see what springtime treats they had available.

What Would You Pick?

This spot is currently offering a number of springtime desserts including a bunny blondie pop…

…and peanut butter bunny cookie.

Cute!

For our trip today, we opted to try the Peanut Butter Bunny Cookie! This snack is made of a Peanut Butter Cookie Cup with buttercream, sugar bunny, and spring sprinkles.

How Adorable!

Here’s a full look at those ingredients.

Ingredients

Now, there’s no denying that this buddy is CUTE. Points for style and decoration must be given here. Your Instagram will likely be flooded with likes and comments of “where did you get this cutie?!” once you post it.

All the Style Points!

And the smell of peanut butter was really strong, so we were hopefully that this would be a peanut butter WIN (like some other treats we found in Disneyland recently that placed us directly into peanut butter heaven!).

We’ve Got High Hopes!

Unfortunately, this treat was…not exactly peanut butter heaven-worthy. It was LOADED with chopped peanuts, but wasn’t a “win” in our books. It was extremely…and when we say extremely, we mean EXTREMELY…dry.

Sorry Disney, we hate to say it, but we prefer the bunny butts in this case (bunny butt treats, that is!).

Not a “Win” For Us

Having all of the peanuts loaded into the treat didn’t really help the situation. If there had been more of a creamy peanut butter filling instead of peanuts themselves, or maybe even just a heavy amount of regular butter, it could have added that moistness that the treat needed.

Wasn’t Quite There for Us

It also wasn’t very sweet (though that’s not always a bad thing). The only true sweetness came from the icing on top. So if you’re not a fan of really sweet treats, then maybe it’ll get some points in your book for that. But, unfortunately for us, there just wasn’t enough icing to make up for the dryness of the treat overall.

What Do You Think?

Love peanuts and think this snack sounds like a dream? Then you can give it a try for yourself by heading over to Gasparilla Island Grill while it’s available. It’s priced at $4.99. Just remember that it is a spring snack, so it won’t be here for long.

A Peek Inside

Truthfully, we’d probably prefer to pick up a peanut butter cookie pie from Main Street Confectionary, or a peanut butter cookie from Disneyland, over this creation. And, of course, there are some epic cookies over at Gideon’s Bakehouse, including a peanut butter crunch one for all you big peanut butter fans.
