Forget looking for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow …
…what we want to see for St. Patrick’s Day is all the St. Patrick’s Day snacks and drinks coming to Disney World! So far, we’ve tried a frosting-heavy St. Patrick’s Day cupcake, a boozy drink called the Good Luck Charm, and more! But now we’re headed over to Disney’s BoardWalk Bakery to try out FIVE more green treats! Get ready to whip out the wet wipes because you might be COVERED in green dye 41 after devouring them all.
To kick off the sugar coma, we’re starting with the Mint Cookies ‘n Cream Cupcake, which is a chocolate cupcake filled with mint cookies ‘n cream mousse topped with whipped cream, holiday sprinkles, and a sugar cookie shamrock.
The mint flavor in this cupcake was surprisingly natural, and when paired with the cupcake, the flavors were great — it reminded us a lot of mint ice cream…but in cupcake form! The whipped cream icing was also a nice change from the normal buttercream! You can try it for yourself for $6.29.
If that wasn’t enough sugar to have us bouncing more than Tigger, we also tried the Shamrock Sugar Cookie, which is a Sugar cookie with green holiday decor. This is the same as the one that was served last year, and it’s basically a bigger version of the cookie you can get on the cupcake.
But we’re not done yet! In fact, we’re just getting started. Next up is the returning St. Patrick’s Day Cannoli, which is a traditional Cannoli with green holiday decor. Finding a good cannoli in Disney World can be difficult, but there’s a reason this one keeps coming back — it’s super tasty (though not the most authentic)!
Also back on the menu this year is the St. Patrick’s Day Coconut Macaroon, which is a traditional giant coconut macaroon with green chocolate decor. SO much green, people.
This one is super dense and coconut-y, so be prepared to do some chewing on this one. But, if you love macarons and coconut, then you’re going to love this yummy and moist treat! It’s available now for $4.59.
And, last but certainly not least, BoardWalk Bakery’s Mickey Brownie got its annual St. Patrick’s Day upgrade — the ganache brownie is now decorated with green holiday sprinkles!
It’s a small touch, but it adds some fun to this super sweet, super chocolate-y classic Disney World brownie. It reminded us of making brownies with grandma in the BEST possible way and it’s definitely worth a try if you love chocolate! And, it’s not too pricey of a treat costing $5.79.
The only catch with these treats is that they’re only available through March 17th, and with massive changes coming to the BoardWalk Bakery soon this could be the LAST time we see these treats here! So, wipe that drool off your mouth and head on over to BoardWalk Bakery ASAP!
And, be sure to stay tuned because we’re reviewing ALL of Disney World’s St. Patrick’s Day treats!
