We visited Lucky Fortune Cookery to try the new Mushroom Bao, now available as part of the 2022 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Keep on reading for our review.

Mushroom Bao – $5.99

Hoisin-glazed Mushrooms, Asian Slaw and Jalapeño in a Steamed Bao

This is a delicious bao taco filled with golden shiitake mushrooms and a salty, savory hoison sauce.

The bread is perfectly soft and supremely satisfying. The mushrooms are richer than you would expect, and this small taco really does hit the spot.

It’s not a full meal, but it feels like more than it is because it’s so rich and delicious.

Overall, this is a fantastic choice from Lucky Fortune Cookery and we will definitely be revisiting it in the future.
