Welcome back to the 2022 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival!

Flower & Garden Sign

We’re buzzing around like Spike the Bee getting allllll the details you need to know to make your festival visit a success. We’ve taken a peek at the exclusive merchandise and are looking forward to some of our favorite artists at the Garden Rocks Concert Series. But for now, we’re bringing you a festival booth review for Primavera Kitchen in the Italy Pavilion — let’s check it out!

In the Italy pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase, we’re heading to Primavera Kitchen for a few updated bites and some favorite returning drinks.

2022 Primavera Kitchen

Although some of the menu items were labeled as new by Disney, we’ve actually seen most of these offerings in some form at past festivals.

Menu

There are a few updated food items on the menu at this returning booth, but we’ve seen all the drinks before.

Primavera Kitchen Menus

Some of those drinks were a big hit in years past, so we’re excited to see them return!

Food

First up on this menu is the Arancini, which is fried risotto balls stuffed with braised beef and served with grape tomato salad and balsamic emulsion. You can get them for $14.

Arancini: Fried Risotto Balls

The Arancini was kind of expensive for the serving size, but they were also very tasty. The risotto inside is a little bit cheesy, and you can see parsley flakes in it as well. You could really taste the Italian spices in this dish. The tomatoes are fresh cherry tomatoes cut in half, and the balsamic flavor really shines through from that sauce.

Arancini

Next on the list is the Raviolo alla Boscaiola for $13. These are sweet sausage ravioli served with sweet corn, spring veggies, and cream sauce.

Ravioli alla Boscaiola

This dish was a big hit for us! You get 4 pretty large ravioli, so the serving size seemed to match the price better than the Arancini. If you don’t like Italian sausage, you probably won’t like these ravioli, because the sausage flavor is very strong. The cream sauce has notes of onion and garlic, but it’s not overpowering. Mainly, it just adds some rich, creamy, cheesy goodness to this dish! The veggies are pretty basic, but we love the extra sweetness from that corn.

Yum!

Returning to Primavera Kitchen this year is the Bombolini. These are Italian-style donuts filled with cream and served with raspberry sauce and powdered sugar! Who doesn’t love a good donut?! You can get these sweet treats for $12.

Bomboloni

This dessert was so fun! The raspberry sauce was served in a dark chocolate cup this year, which is a fun and pretty touch. The donuts were perfectly soft, and they tasted fresh and not too oily from being fried. We could’ve used a little more powdered sugar on top, but maybe that’s just our love for beignets showing. The custard inside these donuts is rich and velvety with a strong vanilla flavor.

And that raspberry sauce was very good as well. It wasn’t a syrup (and not as sweet as a syrup would be) — instead, it seemed like the fresh raspberries had been cooked down with a little sugar. We could still find chunks of raspberries in it. It was actually quite tart, which paired well with the sweet donuts.

Drinks

It’s time to see what we’re workin’ with over in the drinks department at Primavera Kitchen! We’ve seen these offerings at past festivals, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. First up is the Peroni Pilsner, which is  $6 for a 6 oz pour and $10 for a 12 oz pour.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro Pilsner

You can also find Italian White or Red Sangria with prosecco for $11 each. In the past, we’ve preferred the dryer Red Sangria because the white was just a little too sweet for us. Both have a fruity flavor!

And rounding out the list is the Italian Margarita with limoncello and tequila for $11. This one is a very strong drink, and it’s been a big hit with us in the past!

Italian Margarita

You can also get a variety of Italian wines at this booth, like Pinot Grigio ($10), Chianti ($10), Prosecco ($10), Rosa Regale ($11), and Moscato for ($11).

Overall

We found some great hits and a couple of not-as-awesome options at this booth. When we go back, we’ll definitely be looking at that Ravioli and Bomboloni again! But we just think the Arancini were a little too expensive for how small the portion was. The drinks here are also hit-or-miss, with the delicious Italian Margarita and the overly sweet White Sangria. If you know what to get, though, this can be a very delicious stop on your way around EPCOT’s World Showcase!
