Frushi: Strawberry, Pineapple and Cantaloupe wrapped in Sweet Rice and Pink Soy Wrap served with Whipped Cream, Drizzled Berry Sauce and Toasted Coconut – $7.00
The popular Frushi returns with a dish that’s just as pleasant as previous years. Not only does Frushi taste great, but it looks good too. The sweet rice wrapped around the different fruit made for a crisp and refreshing snack.
*NEW* Chicken Yakitori: Grilled Chicken with Scallions, Red Pepper-Shoyu Emulsion and Pickled Onions – $7.50
We loved this, as it was well-seasoned and tender. The quality of the chicken was better than in the past.
We liked how the chicken paired with the peppers and pickled onions. The emulsion was pleasant, and not overly spicy. We recommend this.
*NEW* Beef Tataki: Seared Sirloin with Red Shiso Sauce, Watermelon Radish and Sprouts – $8.00
The sirloin was great and didn’t need anything, as it was really good on its own.
The shiso sauce was a nice accompaniment, and the watermelon radish added a hint of freshness and crunch. This is slightly elevated dish compared to the rest of the festival.
*NEW* Dead Lizard Brewing Company Yuzu Tilted Tonic Hard Seltzer, Orlando, FL (5.0% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.50 for 12 oz.
According to Untappd, this hard seltzer is “the perfect mix of sweet, citrus, and tart! Super refreshing and light!”
Ozeki Pineapple Nigori Sake ($9/bottle) – $9.50
According to Ozeki, this sake is “slightly sweet with a sour kick of Costa Rican pineapple.
Refreshing, tropical pineapple flavor bursts in your mouth.”
*NEW* Cucumber Cooler: Sake, Vodka, and Cucumber garnished with a Cucumber Slice – $8.50
This was very refreshing. It uses a light sake, as there wasn’t punch that sake usually has to it. which made it hard to tell that we were drinking alcohol.
The cucumbers floating at the top made it difficult to drink, but overall, it was still quite enjoyable.
